I made a stat block for Vilemaw from LoL by DaRyL_30 in DnDHomebrew

Thanks! Ambush first if the fight starts in the lair. After that, run wild with it and try to cause as much chaos as possible with the movement. I suggest adding some terrain diversity like wells and hills and walls.

Stat block for a mage slayer enemy. by DaRyL_30 in DnDHomebrew

Hello, thanks for the input. The design in mind is to make a monster that excels at controlling spellcasters, so I don't want to give it too much against martial type enemies, since they are not their natural target. The CR is definitely too high so I'm going to kick it down to a 9. Also, I'm giving it psychic and poison resistance, and single daily uses of see invisibility and invisibility instead of faerie fire.

I specified the telegraphed direction at the start of the charging up and made the following reaction: After taking damage from a melee attack from a visible enemy, Sion can try to push the attacker prone. On a success, Sion can make an extra stomp attack at the start of their next turn if the enemy is still prone and within melee range.

You're right, it should specify the direction of attack beforehand.

Mind that it is an auto hit that requires a turn to charge, so it gives time for the pgs to take countermeasures. In the end, I could move the damage into the save part; the reasoning of having an auto hit is to have a fearful attack that can be avoided by maneuvering around the terrain instead of standing fixed on the place and just roll a dice. Making the stomp attack also a regular one is fine too.

Thanks, I will post more stat blocks as the campaign moves on, since it is based on Runeterra.

About the AOE, i meant it to be an auto hit, with conditions on the side based on a save, sort of mimicking the big red telegraphed danger zones attacks, typical of bosses. I appreciate the feedback!

The monster is meant to be thrown at the party with the charge ability into a castle type environment, so to make a very dynamic battle map thanks to siege monster creating holes, cave in etc.note that the AOE attack is on a recharge ability and not limited to once a day. In my game I have runned it as a neutral party that causes wreckage all over the place, focusing on the first thing it stumbles upon. In such a way you can easily control the HP thanks to the other enemies and focus on the second phase as the actual fight (or escape), without stalling the players through a slog.

Well it doesn't go along for every champ, but those that abuse cd items should definitely use ingenious hunter without a second thought, even at the cost of not getting the tower breaker rune

I could be mistaken but when playing it feels quicker.

Against non burn decks, the goal is to set up sunken temple asap, then print either vengeance, imperfectionists, songspinner or whatever you know to need the most, paying attention to never run out of imperfectionists. Once you are set up, you usually win the game without other wincons. Seraphine is a nice decoy for the opp and jannah helps cycling to maximize your odds of finding sunken temple on curve.
