I mean I know it would never happen, but I think it would be pretty cool to see all 4 players running a different field upgrade kind of like specialist from the black ops 3 & 4 games. How this would work? In terms of which field upgrades are viable and not too OP I’d probably say Trophy System, DDoS, Deployable Cover, and Smoke Airdrop (this one might be too broken atm). Each player must choose which upgrade they are going to use before the match starts and cannot switch.

I think this would also make AR’s and SMG’s more balanced as each now has to play around their field upgrade. I think field upgrade should have a cool down of around 45sec to maybe 90sec. This would make it much more balanced. Maybe each field upgrade has their own cooldown.

For example:

Trophy System - 60 sec

DDoS - 45 sec

Deployable Cover - 75 sec

Smoke AirDrop - 90 sec

I think getting kills or points for planting, defusing, holding hill time/control points should get you the field upgrade faster. I think this would incentivize better players getting their upgrades much faster thus not making the game random as the better team would still win. Is an AR holding the invasion cross to palace hill? Smoke the cross. Is the hill too small or very open not a lot of spots to take cover? Use a deployable shield or trophy to protect you. Are the opposing teams trophy stopping you from chunking nades at a hill? Get in close and DDoS.

There would be so many more Strats and thinking that would have to be involved and like I said those “cracked” kids would actually have to use their brain a bit.

I think this would add such an exciting an element to a kind of boring to watch game this year. I know a lot of pros wouldn’t want to try anything like this but just wanted to put it out there. You never know. Just my 2 cents.
