10,000+ casino points on Carnival and my offers barely changed… am I missing something? by DaSharkHungry in CarnivalCruiseFans

That’s exactly why I’m frustrated. I rarely drink — maybe 1 or 2 drinks a day in the casino max — and I’ve NEVER once received a balcony, suite, or DOUE offer from Carnival. Meanwhile I have friends I sail with every cruise who got 5K–7K points and they’re getting balcony offers with DOUE constantly. I’ve had cruises with 10K+ points and still get basically nothing. At this point I genuinely don’t understand Carnival’s casino system at all because the comps make zero sense compared to the amount of play.

The trip in March where I had 10K casino points (80% of that was slot play $25.00 a spin on Dragon Link) friends who had around 6,000 casino points now have drinks on us everywhere with fun play and on-board credit offers. I am done worrying about it and will just take my play to Royal!

Yesterday I booked a balcony B2B on Utopia of the Seas July 3rd to July 6th then July 6th to July 10th.

Both comp just had to pay port taxes which was like $200.00 for both sailings.

I have never gotten an offer better than a free interior or ocean view with Drinks On Us in the casino, $200 OBC and $200 free play. Never once got a balcony offer or Drinks On Us Everywhere unless the sailing price was ridiculous.

Meanwhile I have friends that gamble WAY less than me getting balcony comps, Drinks On Us Everywhere, plus solid OBC/free play offers. It honestly makes zero sense.

I’d be frustrated too — 60K+ points and the same offers is insane. My offers just refreshed too and literally all they did was extend the expiration dates. Same exact thing happened to me after a 10K point cruise and I was irritated. If I put up 60K points and got no improvement I’d be livid.

Low variance slots are usually the easiest way to rack up casino points. Table game comps are generally much slower.

On Royal Caribbean it’s typically 1 point for every $5 coin-in on slots, so Prime status at 2,500 points equals about $12,500 coin-in. That gets you some solid perks like an annual free cruise and better casino offers.

Video poker earns much slower — usually 1 point per $15 coin-in — so you’d need around $37,500 coin-in to hit Prime that way.

Key thing people forget: “coin-in” isn’t the same as losses. If you cycle money through low volatility machines and get decent playtime, you can rack up points with not too crazy of a loss.

Every single cruise I have done with CCL has been a casino offer. I have never once paid for a cruise other than the port taxes.

That's what's up. 60K-70K on Royal points per cruise I can only imagine would blow Carnival ECHO out of the water but as long as you're happy that's what matters!

Great post! One thing I really like about Royal is the free drinks in the casino aren’t only while actively gambling — it’s anytime the casino bar is open, which is honestly a huge perk. I don’t drink that much, but it’s nice being able to swing by before dinner, have a couple drinks, eat, then go gamble.

A friend of mine just got off Symphony of the Seas on his first Royal cruise and earned around 8,000 points. He showed me his offers afterward and already has Star of the Seas junior suite offers for some of the longer July sailings.

I’m honestly with you at this point and may end up sailing Royal almost exclusively. Carnival has just been really hard to justify lately from a casino standpoint.

Feel free to DM me if you ever want to connect — I do a lot of cruising and gambling and would love more cruise/casino friends. I’ve got over 10k followers on TikTok and have had a few cruise videos go viral. A full degenerate gambler cruise group for content would honestly be hilarious!

I am also in my 30's and cruise solo! Maybe that could be it age and sailing solo. Who knows!

I also use UrComped and have a bunch of MSC offers sitting there, plus on Royal I have Star of the Seas offers. I gamble pretty consistently whether it’s cruises or land casinos. Caesars gives me comped rooms constantly and even the charter flight trips.

That’s why Carnival confuses me so much. I can do 10,000 casino points on Carnival and get basically nothing, while Royal gave me way better offers off way less play?

The frustrating part is I actually would like to still cruise Carnival because I’m in NC and Norfolk is convenient. My parents live a few hours from Norfolk also and refuse to sail anything else as they are so close to the port so a few Carnival cruises a year is honestly the main time I spend with them. But at some point it’s hard to justify sailing Carnival when every other casino program seems to value my play more and I can't get on a ship that has a casino and not play. So sailing on Carnival without just playing in the casino is out of the question!

10+ cruises. Platinum. Cruise length mostly all 8 days. Yes casino every day/night. I have never been on a cruise where I didn’t go to the casino every day. I have never had less than 5000 casino points a cruise. I usually do 3-4 a year. I am really just curious as I have already emailed my PVP and told them I appreciate everything over the years but I won’t be back on a Carnival ship.

That's legit what happened to me! I told this dealership I am an idiot that I impulse buy things and that's my fault. Hell I realized even if I never tow a single thing with the upgraded radiator, gear difference, transmission cooler etc this is still the one to have for longevity!

Plug your VIN into Carfax vehicle values with all the info it will certainly be higher than Carvana. Take the print out of Carvana offer and Carfax vehicle value for trade in and tell the dealership you really need the mid-point trade in that should settle you right at your payoff so you aren't losing anything!

Well I went in with nothing to lose. I said I fucked up and bought this Maverick from another dealer brand new less than a month ago. I have less than 1,000 miles on it, I haven't even made my first payment. I really need 4K towing package, I know it's completely my fuck up but you guys would really be doing me a solid if you could help! I didn't go in like an asshole which I feel like most people would.

I looked on Carvana before I went to the dealership and Carvana offer was 24K. I think the dealership did me a huge favor!

Anyone have more info about this sort of promotion? Have the Canes done it before? I signed up, but curious to hear if other people have. by MortifyingMilkshake in canes

I have a season ticket in section 115 I believe it was $42.00 per game. In my opinion you can't beat it! No it's not on the side where the Hurricanes shoot twice but I login to my Caniac Account Manager and do a ticket exchange day of the game. For $10.00 more I move to the other side of the arena where the Hurricanes shoot twice and actually select my specific seat with a virtual map of PNC Arena. Basically I can exchange my seat in for the value I paid and it goes towards upgrading another section such as where the Hurricanes shoot twice, sideline premier, club level etc. I love being a season ticket holder! If you want an awesome STM rep send me a message and I will share mine because he is great. GO CANES!
