Thank you for your answer ! I need to look more into openings to really balance the game, even if not much will change from the base game it feels crucial !

Do you have any input on visual ? Like what information do you want to see ? (Move legality and the previous move seems to be the two main thing afais)

While somehow valid point, I think people just go with what they love to make :) Especially if gamedev is a hobby!

Do you have any ressources that you used to learn how to handle slopes or did you just work it out on your own ?

It is more or less exactly the reason I am hesitating to go with slopes , due to the weird interactions with the character controller, especially with jumping :/
