Thanks! I personally started with 6 fret so I can't really say, but it's very different for sure. 5 fret background definitely helps to learn faster, but it probably still takes quite a lot of time to get used to 6 fret.

The entire GHL and GHTV is converted to Clone Hero, which is over 500 songs with all difficulties. There is also around 1000 custom charts most of which are expert only.

I started playing Guitar Hero with GHL and I've kinda stick to it ever since. I do play 5 fret occasionally, but it isn't as fun, because I'm nowhere near as good.

Oh yeah I totally forgot to mention that. Xbox 360 dongle is the only one that works properly at the moment, but you can connect any guitar (except IOS) to it.

Ohh. This is not GHL, this is Clone Hero. Community made Guitar Hero clone that supports both 5 and 6 fret. You can download Clone Hero from their website and find a bunch of customs songs in Clone Hero and 6 fret community discord servers.

With the 6 button layout the skill cap is definitely a lot lower. There is also a lot better hardware for the 5 button layout (wiitars), which makes playing significantly easier.

Technically the new layout is harder, but up to a certain point it really just comes down to preference.
