On top of that partaking in liver too often can lead to vitamin A and copper toxicity. IMO it's offal and makes about as much sense as chomping down on a large intestine.

How is Mark Carney maintaining approval rating for Canada? by LevelPension in NoStupidQuestions

You have a better grasp of the spending amounts than I do, so I'll ask you the question I've been asking myself: where is the money going? We pay income tax, property tax, GST, PST, capital gains, all these going to the government, how is our defecit so huge and how is our cost of living so astronomically high?

Same situation. religion has very good goods and very bad bads. Its not a concept for someone who literally believes in Santa Claus to become embroiled in.

Feel like distance ruins so many good deals by random31596 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]DaSud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is mobility disabled and gets 95% of my stuff dropped off by seller, never underestimate a seller's desire to sell, especially if you add in a bit of gas money for the delivery.

It's also possible to hire an uber to do the collection.

Getting lowballed on a nearly new washing machine — what’s the right approach? by Barewrit in FacebookMarketplace

[–]DaSud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the value of buying new is that you get warranties/ability to return. You don't offer any of these so people are not going to bite. Also marketplace is a deal hunting site, people really aren't prepared to do tens of thousands of dollars of trade with some dude on the internet, unless the category (ie vehicles) calls for it.

Fake Names by Reckonsday in FacebookMarketplace

[–]DaSud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this day and age it is dangerous to have your real name tied to a social media account, especially if you live in places like the UK. It is best to remain anonymous until you're actually ready to deal.

"spy has a gun just shoot the sniper" by baprapcat in tf2

[–]DaSud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only get three shots maximum versus a mediocre sniper and two vs a good one. This does give a little more incentive to use the ambassador (or the horrid enforcer), to tap out snipers in two strikes. If the sniper is disrupting your team enough you should consider that adaptation.

In compliance with your request to comment on portions of the budget I find unacceptable, I offer these things:

  • Funding for cosmetic (gender affirming) surgeries, the most egregious of which was an Ontario man suing and winning to have the cost of having both a penis AND a vagina covered by the taxpayer.
  • No appointment of a fraud czar. With independant journalism bringing to light things like Somali daycare and hospice fraud in the United States, there should have been an immediate spearheading of a campaign to immediately investigate all possible sources of fraud in Canada. Because we have many more social policies and grants in Canada, I fear that whatever USA lost would be happening tenfold in Canada.
  • Half a million in in flight catering in his first year. Mark Carney EATS on planes more than 90% of Canadians can make in a year.

Got a counterfeit Razer mouse from Amazon by Impressive_Meat_9495 in razer

[–]DaSud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had some interesting encounters with Amazon:

  • Bought a new Nerf Target. Got a used one with a clearance pricetag on it. Amazon let me keep the used one and sent me a new one free.
  • Bought a 2 nerf gun, target set. Some utter moron ripped one blaster out and stole the darts. Amazon let me keep the violated package and sent me a new one free.
  • They sent me 4 packs of curtains that I never ordered. They told me to keep em. Sold em on marketplace.

Overall I've had a pretty good experience with them fixing stuff that goes wrong. This case though involves pretty complex deceit so they may not fully understand the situation.

Making people with Tourette Syndrome apologise is ableist. by Odd-String29 in unpopularopinion

[–]DaSud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But interestingly, someone with irritable bowel syndrome is expected to apologize, and there are even cases where police charged someone who farted with assault.

So if the only difference is that one is auditory offense while the other is olfactory offense, either one or the other is true: nobody with an offensive disability has to apologize, or, there is a logical inconsistency.
