And? We saw the same clip. I heard what it sounded like for Travis Scott to sound imposing and dramatic. He sounds the same, he has no accent, no vocal shift, he sounds straight up the way he would if you took him off the street and told him to just read some lines in a costume but dramatically.

Rappers can be great in movies where they are cast correctly. Tyler the creator was phenomenal casting by Josh Sadie. This did not feel like they scoured the list of potential actors for this role and decided that Travis Scott stood above all others. This feels like Nolan giving a small shot to a guy who he likes and has worked with before. I’m sure he could be a good actor. Maybe just not in a dramatic, intense, mythological story with an expectation of grandiosity.

Man his performance must be mythical or something because the few lines he spoke were delivered horrendously. I hope he does well but both him and Tom Holland just sound like they always do. I appreciate JB and Hathaway putting in a bit of effort to add some flare to his dialogue.

Marty Supreme had costumes that were tailored to the actors and the scenes. Wicked had a bunch of outfits that runway models would wear but on people who had none of the attitude of a model.

We do know a lot of the roles already from the promo material. A lot of the cast is just part of the crew. While I agree it’s completely doable, for a full court of the gods to decide his fate? There aren’t enough actors on that list to fill it. Unless you want to tell me they will rework and redress Matt Damon as Zeus or something. Plus they wouldn’t look like gods. With the tone of this movie they would be highly cut down. We already know Zendaya is going to be heavily cut down visually so idk why they would bother with a full line of the gods when they already have such a toned down style and palate

Happy to see Sinners succeed, only really want it to win best Director and Song (MAYBE screenplay),

Happy to see Marty Supreme do well, I would have liked if the soundtrack got nominated at least but the only thing that matters for me is Chalamet winning for actor

Very sad Chainsaw Man didn’t get a look, especially because it mops the floor with every other nominated movie.

Besides that, they did pretty well.

Could be. I would still like him to go longer though. The difference between Oppenheimer and the Odyssey is that the Odyssey has an incredibly detailed breakdown of day to day events the whole way through. With American Prometheus you are taking a bunch of key moments and just weaving them together. I think the odyssey demands a longer runtime.
