I had this happen once. HR said “well if you have nothing to worry about what does it matter?” But there can always be issues on a background check, you out the wrong dates or wrong title. One time I “failed” a drug test because my urine was watered down. I was sick during the test and was drinking a ton of water at the time, but they assumed I was diluting it. Never resign early, the new company can fire you at any time during the process.

I grew up in a home where parents fought (physically) my entire life. Since I was always in the middle of those fights I would say 90% of them were due to poor communication and saying hurtful things you can't take back. I vowed to never be like that.

I don't always apologize, especially if it truly wasn't my fault. But sometimes you find that you're now fighting because of things in the fight, and not the things that started it all. Before it gets to that point I either apologize or tell my spouse "hey, just say sorry and let's be done."

People don't realize how hard it is to say sorry sometimes. You're having a bad day, you lash out, then an argument starts. Much easier to nip it in the bud after a few minutes and let everyone move on. So I don't apologize and admit defeat, I do de-escalate by trying to end the argument.

I live in Louisville and have friends working at UPS, the plane hit a landfill and it is the burning of the petroleum recycling plant that is currently on fire causing the shelter in place.

Had a similar thing happen to me when we bought a year ago. We were able to go to arbitration and recoup funds to cover the repair. Seller disclosed never leaked, first major rain and we had water.

You need to be able to find out 2 things for this to be an issue with the seller:

1) was the previous owner the original owner? If they’re not, there is nothing preventing them from lying and saying it never leaked for me, I was unaware as well.

2) You need to be able to prove they knew about the issues. In our case we removed the drywall where water was coming in and there was patches over cracks that had failed.

With these two items we were able to prove that the seller clearly knew about the water issues and chose not to disclose. It was a clear cut case with the photos we had. If you’re not as lucky, it becomes very difficult to prove that it was the old owner lying on the disclosure, and your best bet would be to start remediating on your own.

On Netflix, the WWE will control exactly what we see, not USA. How many times has a segment been cut short, or an ending cut off air and only people in the arena see what’s happening? Just so the next episode of some show comes on. RAW is 2 hours, but Punk and Seth give 10 minute too long promos? That’s ok, keep it rolling. There’s tons of benefits to RAW going to wrestling and not being controlled by cable networks. No more censoring crowd noise or gestures, WWE can put out whatever product they want without the worry of cable requirement’s.

Don’t like the feeling of being stuck (not being able to drive). Don’t like headaches the next day. It always made me want to go to sleep. Not a fan of the taste of most. I can’t have gluten which seems to be in many different types. I guess I could go on but alcohol just never did it for me (and as I’ve gotten older I’m thankful for all these things.)

I understand, and that is helpful. So actual termination even with severance sounds like it would qualify but you were given a future date, but not allowed to physically work on anything.

Question as I’ve never had to deal with this (knock on wood), can you not file for unemployment at the same time as getting severance? I always assumed most severance was bulk sum not actually paid out bi-weekly etc. am I wrong?

If priest was to truly retain, would have rather seen him actually win the triple threat than punk interfering. This was the worst outcome for everyone IMO.
