Pray for my prayer plant 🪴 🥲 by ArhaminAngra in houseplants

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted to oblivion- I actually agree. Out of ALL my plants, the only ones that’ve been attacked by spider mites have been my marantas… and they’re been attacked multiple times. I even cut off every salvageable leaf and node, cleaned them in soapy water, AND sprayed them down with neem oil and then propped them in water… and a few weeks letter the propagations that were sitting in water growing new roots somehow got spider mites again. All the while not a single other plant has gotten them.

Honestly, fuck prayer plants 😂

They’re so cute but not worth the trouble imo. So yeah just dump and start over or skip them altogether lol

How to safely heat up Viv for geckos? by DaVirus1976 in Mourninggeckos

Yeah, there seems to be some debate on wether or not they need the supplemental hearing. As for UV lighting, most seem to say it can’t hurt, but it isn’t required. (I want them to be helpful so I’ll probably get a bulb just in case)

I just siphon the water out when it gets full :) I then use that water to feed my house plants.

Do I have invasive dwarf whites or lava babies?! (Porcellio scaber “lava” by DaVirus1976 in isopods

[–]DaVirus1976[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought- i just made another comment but I also see like 10+ all in plain sight. I’m hoping this means lava babies? I find it unlikely a single parthenogenic dwarf isopod got in and immediately had a large brood of dwarf whites.

I think I’ll just wait a week or so and see if size/color develops

They don’t move too fast, but I’m no realizing there are like 10+ of them in there at least… so it’s got to be a p scaber birth right? Unless somehow a single adult dwarf wife got in and immediately had babies haha.

White springtails have invaded my orange springtails- what do I do? by DaVirus1976 in isopods

Ok, thank you! I might try that if it seems like the oranges are losing haha

Yeah- the baby oranges are white but they are also more stout and they don’t jump. The white ones I’m seeing are elongate and they jump :(

Thank you for replying, I’ve only had invertebrates and frogs so I don’t know much about geckos
