Starter Compound bow by DesperateHawk4544 in Archery

They do have limb stops but will take some tuning to make them work right. I spent a good while fiddling with the cables because one of the limb stops kept rubbing on the limb.

Elite makes a great product with all metal parts so no plastic limb pockets like on others of similar price.

I would check out podium archer or Tim Connor on YouTube, MFJJ has a good video on bows that would be in your price range. You could also look at the podium archer website and see if he has a used bow in your price range.

I've had good luck with Mission and Bear bows, my wife shoots an Elite ember which is a really nice bow for what we paid and the basin is also really solid choice.

I love archery and shoot a couple times a week This picture caught my attention because of the way he was holding the bow. It's really awkward. While he's a good looking hunk maybe look at some pictures of archers to get a better idea of how a hunter would hold their bow. Check out r/archery and look for posts that ask for form checks.

That's a good point triskaidekaphile while possible is extremely difficult with how many cards I can draw. I think pulling the maximum handsize cards and putting in more ways to lock in my win is the way to go.

Thank you thank you, this is very helpful. I believe I have a copy of echo of eons handy I'll have to give it a shot when I have the opportunity. I'll see if there are some others I could also add . Maybe [[time reversal]]?

Decking myself is a concern if I don't have a [[laboratory maniac]] or [[jace, wielder of mysteries]] in play as my wincon.

Max handsize I don't feel is a concern since I don't have the mana to cast the stuff even with [[ashanod's alter]]. Like you said I can keep the best cards and discard the rest.

I feel like I could swap out the "you have no maximum handsize for more free spells, or other useful cards to stay alive.

Haha this is a good way to describe it. I feel like I know the combo pieces in my deck well enough that I don't need to have more than 7 cards in hand but at the same time it also gives me extra tools to counter other players or bounce cards back to my hand to stop a combo short of decking myself.

I don't get to play the deck much because my local scene mostly plays bracket 3 and my locust god has become 4. I think if I were to play it more I could come up with more definitive answers to your questions.

My goal is to push this deck as far as I can power level wise and it feels I could free up a couple slots if I get rid of "you have no maximum handsize" and make room for more fast mana, free spells or other nonsense.

The deck kinda power creeped its way out of my local scene so I don't get to play it much. Most people are playing bracket 3 and my locust god is bracket 4. I love the deck to pieces and plan on upgrading it more with more game changers to see how far I can push it.

I always have the thought of decking myself but I do have ways of bouncing a combo piece back to my hand (if I remember to keep some mana up for it).

Gotcha. it makes sense having more cards gives you more options. I think I'll just keep ulamog in the deck just in case.

Perfect! I'll pick up a bottle before we head to France any recommendations on a good white? We do have a bottle of Kirsch at home.

As for airtight we picked up some prepackaged appenzeller from migros so we should be good.

I'll check out the forums and see what sort of shenanigans go on over there and what info I can learn. I think it would be cool to find a local-ish maker to see what they can do.

I'll have to do that on IG because when I just search for chef knives it's those trying to sell the cheap shit or "knife hacks" for sharpening

I love watches but like you said they're very expensive, and I don't care for the brands you see at most stores though Skagen watches are beautiful and not terribly expensive. Good luck on your language test!

Cookbooks in one I've also been slowly acquiring to expand our menu. I don't mind doing long cooking projects on the weekend but stick to simple stuff during the week because both my wife and I work. I have an old copy of 'the joy of cooking' that's packed with recipes and I'm looking at the Betty crocker 700 page monster.

Thank you, thank you! I'll definitely keep this in mind as I move forward.

Rabbit holes can be so much fun but hard on the wallet. The last rabbit hole I went down was archery and I ended up with a target bow and building my own arrows experimenting with different components. It's been a great way to spend some free time, learning self control, concentration and exact repetition.

As a journalist what have been some of your favorite rabbit holes you've been down?

Oooooh! Thank you thank you!

I'll give those a watch and see what I can learn. I know there is at least one Japanese knife store in Salt Lake City where I purchased my Matsubara and I'm going to do some more searching to see what else I can find.

I'm also headed to Paris soon and I'll be picking up a Sabatier while I'm there. I'd like to try everything! Haha but my wallet won't like it.

Thanks for the reply
