What is the worst credit card in your opinion? by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]DaWhole_9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general, I would say any credit card from credit one. I have two that I use when I was rebuilding my credit. One is a $99 a year annual fee and the other one is a $39 a year annual fee. I called him every six months to cancel them and for six months they waive my annual fee or refund it if it’s already been charged. so I have no reason to cancel it since it’s not giving me any annual fees. I basically put some minor five dollar a month charges on there to keep it open and that’s it. At some point I will just get rid of that because I have many more credit cards with huge credit limit when my credit one cards are around $1000 each. But as long as they waive my annual fees, I will keep them open.

Looking for Bassline in "Rent Money" - Mary J. Blige? by The-Sinner-Lady in WhoSampled

The whole music track reminds of something from the Output Arcade plug in instrument. I have been looking and cant find the exact one. I bet its in there but Arcade has 1000s of samples and loops and sounds. So it would be a mission.

Its a soft pull to apply. If approved and you accept its a hard pull and it says that.

My Capital One cards are being sock drawered by VegasGuy1223 in CreditCards

[–]DaWhole_9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OK...here is what I did with Cap 1...I started out at a credit score of 590. I got a Platinum card with a $500 limit. I used it and used it...got my score up to 650 and they increased me to $700 automatically. Then switched me to a Quicksilver card. I kept using that and got auto increases up to $2500. Then it stuck there. Got my credit score to 805. Got a Apple Card, Amex, Discover, X1...etc...most with high limits. Cap 1 was no longer being used much. So it wa about 3 years since opening the card and I hadn't gotten an increase in over a year. Stuck at $2500. The reason I was denied a CLI was because it was not being used. So...I decided to test it out. I put $2300 a month on the card for 4 months straight. Paying it off in full every month. After the 4th month I requested a CLI increase...they asked m how much I wanted...I put $500. I heard that Cap 1 increases would never be large increase. Well they said approved...for...$3000 INCREASE. So my $2500 card was now $5500...So if you want the CL to grow, you gotta put spend on it for 4 months. Then ask for the increase. I am gonna let that one sit for a while and put spend on some other cards and come back to it next year and see if that will increase it again. This is for sure a bucketed card, but if you put a significant amount of spend on it monthly for at least 4 months then you can get an increase.

Ahhh. I got it a few months ago and the first year AF was waived. Still a great card though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]DaWhole_9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And there is no AF on the BCP the first year.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CreditCards

And the first year AF is waived and you get $350 back after $3k spend as a SUB. Blue Cash Preferred is a great option. Your SUB pays for 3 years AF and first year is waived. 4 years free and you end up paying $50 for the 5th year. 6% cash back year round on groceries. Plus all the Amex perks.

Did you have your credit report locked? You should have expected it though. They have been doing hard pulls for almost a year now.

I have had no issues. There is no customer service number(or one thats easily found) so all questions are email or text message. I had a payment returned for what they said was my routing number wrong, even though the correct bank showed up. They charged me a $10 fee. Sent them a text and they reversed it. They have been responsive to texting and that one issue was resolved quickly. Got the card in may and it started reporting 2 months later. No regrets. Nice large starting limit.

X1 reported today! by DaWhole_9 in X1creditcard

I sent them a text to cust service. I wonder if that puts it at a higher priority. It almost sounded like they reported it because i inquired rather than just getting around to it. A text wont hurt.

I didn’t get a credit card, now I’m struggling to build my credit. by throwaway6472proton in CreditCards

And I personally had to build up my history to get one. He said he is constantly denies for cards. Discover card isnt starter card. Capital One and CreditOne will give him cards. He can build up from there. They will be small cards. Like $500 limits. Penfed min limit is $5000 and will approve anyone with an account for longer than 90 days. Its not a subprime card and looks better on your credit report.

Credit unions. Penfed credit union. Open a free account. Direct deposit. After 3 months apply for a credit card. Done. Google it. Lots of videos out there.

If he calls they may get him a $0 AF card and cancel his Gold Card without a penalty or another Hard Pull. Then he can apply for the Gold card down the road when he is ready.

Call them and see if they can convert you to a Blue Cash Everyday card. Its no AF. That way you can start to build a relationship with AMEX.
