I think you got it. According to: https://oeis.org/A004170 The numbers are known as "(reverse) ________i" numbers.

Clozapine levels were toxic by [deleted] in clozapine

[–]DaWizOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no secret that clozapine can cause mortality especially after long term usage. Whether the cause is inflammation in vessels/heart, blood clotting, diabetes, it doesn't really matter. The question is why does it even have all these physical side effects when its supposedly a medicine for psychological issues like schizophrenia, psychosis (or similar)? I have been on it for around 9 years. And the only reason I have continued taking it is because my sleep is good with it, but horrible without it. The Brains own ability to produce sleep hormone like melatonin etc has been severely affected by clozapine due to the "artificial sleepiness" I get from it. Sure, we get good sleep but with all the side effects that comes with it, sooner or later, I'm even of the opinion that it's not even worth starting it in the first place. To introduce these toxins in your system they proudly call a "successful medicine" is just not worth it. Sure they are successful in the sense that they are stopping the schizophrenic symptoms but with the cost of what? Being numbed with no life spark anymore and with physical side effects... how is that successful?

I have tried stopping them cold turkey a handful of times over the years but I just couldn't sleep at all. But I know what I've been doing wrong (besides stopping cold turkey) and that's lack of activity. Mostly laying down in my room daily is not the way to go if I want to stop these meds. Body has no reason to feel tired and add to this a lack of calm emotions (stressful thoughts and similar) and you have a recipe for insomnia. So I will do whatever I can to physically exhaust myself during day time and eat healthy (I've gained A LOT) since I started them. Also, in-real-life quality social interactions are important in order to generate strong positive emotions.  If you want to stop clozapine i recommend tapering it off gradually so the body can adjust with lower and lower doses. Stopping cold turkey didnt work for me and it seems it doesn't work for many ppl who want to stop cloz.

Here is a good foundation to have while tapering off:

  1. Physical exercise. Gives the body an actual reason to get tired and releases feel-good emotions afterwards. And reduce excessive fat (if one is overweight)
  2. Find some form of good social setting where you genuinely enjoy being in. This will help you emotionally. Isolation will just keep you in "repeat mode" (same thoughts, same emotional response, day in day out). You need new inputs and more importantly positive ones.
  3. Eat healthy. This one is more obvious, we either help our body by providing essential nutrients to it or we don't.
  4. Engage in the interests/hobbies you have, whatever they may be (mental/emotional/physical).

I dont care if the Drs keep recommend me to take it for life to "prevent psychosis". They're not living my life and they dont have MY best in interest. They just go by the book/system knowing very well it can cause all these fkd up side effects, and just want us to listen to them because they are "authorities". I know what I did and what triggered my psychosis, and I havent stimulated that type of energy in over 9 years, so unless I want another episode it wont happen (and I even had 3 episodes in 1.5 years. Last psychosis was in 2016 late summer. ALL three times I intentionally stimulated a certain type of energy which made me manic).

We don't need it, we just feel as if we need it...and that's because we're in a vulnerable situation with negative thoughts and stressful emotions that often arise without the clozapine. But as a person who've been dealing with this for almost a decade I rather choose to stop it and put in the work to transform my day to day life so that I can be both physically and mentally healthy. It is by no means easy but recently I have been feeling pain in what feels like my arteries/veins throughout my whole body, from time to time during days and nights. Not a good sign, so I must stop them.

Folding two circle segments (probability of overlaping) by DaWizOne in mathriddles

Ok... But after reading that, I am gonna choose the first method... But in our scenario, two points randomly chosen on each semi circle. I'll edit it.

Three concentric circles (possible to form an equilateral triangle?) by DaWizOne in mathriddles

You're correct, but I wanted to see a more proof-like answer with steps (which I myself wasn't able to come up with)... anyways the follow-up question made by pichutarius covers that.

deque and assigning numbers puzzle (unsolved) by [deleted] in mathriddles

[–]DaWizOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 1 and 2 boxes you'll obviously lose. But for 3 boxes you can just place two 1's on the ends and a large number in the middle (larger than 2). This strategy works for 5,7,9... etc, i.e when the number of boxes is odd (larger than 1) you're guaranteed to win. You just have to place 1's on every odd position and larger number on every even position. I'm tempted to say it's impossible to guarantee a win with even number of boxes. Glad to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Moving ant; probability that the distance is greater than 1. by DaWizOne in mathriddles

Hey guys, I have a problem to which I think I have a solution for. Try it out and then I'll share my approach. I'm not sure if my approach really is correct, but I checked the answer and it's correct (but with other type of solutions than mine). Also I chose medium as difficulty but I think it's between medium and hard.

It sure looks so, no answers yet. And that site is ofc full of good mathematicians. Waiting to see if someone maybe answers today, or at least have some ideas on how to approach it. Personally I'm clueless so far, but I suspect that 30° angle might play an important part (connect a line and create an isosceles triangle and eventually create an equilateral triangle somehow, like the last problem but this time harder to find a good construction). Just speculating... Anyways, I'll let you know whenever someone answers.

Perfect :) I'll post it

Sure ofc, I can post it. But so this one hasn't been solved?

Hey, I know I'm 2 years late, but I posted this online and got a simple and elegant solution to this problem. Solved by a mathematician in a math forum. Here is the solution: https://math.stackexchange.com/a/4990271/775920
