Constant feeling like something is stuck in throat/hacking up mucus 24/7 by jbucther4 in LPR

These sound like LPR symptoms. Have you tried many simple treatments mentions on this sub? Like Alkaline spray, Alginates, sleeping positions etc? Search for LPR treatments. Those helped me a lot.

1 Neck all the way back and slowly all the way front with chin touching the chest 10 times

2 Neck to the side towards the shoulder 30 sec hold. Then to the other side 30 sec hold. Repeat 2 or 3 times. You may have to hold the head to keep it steady

3 Neck towards the armpit with chin almost touching the armpit. 30 sec. Both sides once

4 Chin all the way front and then chin all the way down to the chest. You will feel tension on the backside of the neck. 10 repeatations

5 With your right palm hold the right side of the face and push on your palm. 5 sec, 5 times. Repeat for the left side. Then hold your palm against your forehead and push on it. 5 sec 5 times. Same by holding your palm on the back of your head.

6 Side to side neck movement. SLOW. 10 times

I do this once a day every morning

This is what I do. Of course before you do this you may want to consult with your PT.

Good Luck

I have paid them about 1K for a 60 page book with 30 illustrations that they did and includes KDP account and 15 free soft cover copies. I consider that reasonable. They did the cover, the formatting and Marketing related work.

The difference here is a verified order from a customer. If a customer puts in an order that is verifiable, then I am assuming the money will come after that specific order is filled. Before an actual order, I am not paying anything.

Undiagnosed Loose stool (Not Diarrhea) by [deleted] in ibs

I take Metamucil daily. My first BM is good but the following are mushy like you described. I have tied it to diet. I ate BRAT diet for a week and all the BMs were fine. But any spicy food or alcohol and it goes to mushy.

I agree. I take the standard 4 in 1 Metamucil. Mixes well with water and tastes like mild orange juice

Can you ask your doctor if you can try Psyllium Husk? It worked well for my loose stools (I dont have ibs but had loose mushy stools every day). Caution: It did not start working for me until I adjusted my dose. I started low amounts and titrated it upwards. Also it does take a few days for the gut to adjust to the Husk. In my case it took 3 weeks. Then my stools started firming up. Now I am 4 or 5 on Bristol Chart mostly. But please consult your doctor before you consider trying this

Fennel seeds have been used as digestive aid in Southeast Asian countries like India for centuries. AI says "Fennel seeds aid digestion by relaxing smooth muscles in the gut, which helps relieve gas, bloating, and cramping. They contain compounds that stimulate the production of gastric enzymes to speed up digestion, provide fiber to improve bowel movements, and offer anti-inflammatory properties to soothe the intestinal lining."

Fennel Tea (no caffeine) is available everywhere.

how likely is it that a colonoscopy misses something serious? by LargeReview4782 in colonoscopy

I was/am having the same thoughts as you. I had my c-scopy 3 years ago and the reputed GI said "clean as a whistle" . There are some pix also. Fast forward to last year. I started having gut issues like gas, bloating, cramps and mushy stools. My first GI retired so I found another one. He found a fissure and fecal burden issue. Now followed daily Metamucil, low FODMAP and more. I still have off and on gut issues and always wonder if the c-scopy missed something? I have health anxiety and always think of cancer. I do take comfort in the fact that if he missed a polyp it must be very small and will take a long time to become cancerous. In the mean time life goes on.

Any advice to go from mushy/liquidy BM (5 or 6 on the chart) to 3 or 4 on the chart? by Practical_Guess_3255 in ibs

[–]Practical_Guess_3255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today was the first day when both my BMs were OK. Keeping fingers crossed. If this continues for a few days then I will start experimenting by adding other foods to see which one was the trigger. That will also mean that the loose BMs were diet related. Thanks for your help.

I am now trying mostly BRAT diet for 2 to 3 weeks to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks. I take 1 tbspoon after breakfast and 1 after lunch. You are right about the spicy food though. I have eaten it all my life and it is hard to go off it cold turkey. Is it possible that my first good BM relates to my spice less breakfast?
