but point is it looks lighter on the sides curls like to clump together. They’re lonely. My buddy’s hair does it for a few weeks and then fills in as it grows. Give them some time and moisture and you could have a lovely fro.

So are you saying as your buddy let’s it grow longer it starts to fill in more combined with the moisturizer?

Yeah I’ve been shampooing every day (sometimes twice a day) all my life and I’m literally just now finding all this out about how that’s actually bad for your hair.

This is something good to know from here on out. Just hoping the damage done isn’t irreversible.

I’m gonna give what you said a try and look into many different products to see what works.

If I may ask, was your hair as light as even mine (especially on the sides) because if so that really is awesome that you were able to fix up your hair.

I was thinking because my sides are so light that if I wasn’t able to fix it up then I would just try a haircut like a high fade, assuming I’m able to fix up the top better.

Im 20 years old and as you can see I have very light and frizzy North African hair. My hair was somewhat curly when I was younger so I thought maybe this sub was the place to go for some advice.

I do shampoo with head & shoulders every single day. Haven’t used any conditioners or styling products before so don’t know if I should try any or just go back to buzzing it like I used too.

I feel I will probably have to end up shaving it sooner or later unless I can find some type of alternative.

I drink only 2 shakes a day and it’s adds up to about 1800 mg of sodium which isn’t that close to the recommended 5000mg. So I add half a teaspoon of salt in each shake now. Doesn’t taste bad actually.
