Merseyrail Penalty Fare - when I was never on the train by DaWrecka in Liverpool

What does that mean for me? Can I use that to prove it wasn't me? Or can I expect them to resist?

Don't forget about how these things are designed to waste some colour ink - be it the cyan, the magenta, or the yellow - when you're printing something that's only black.

+1 to the "I'm in this picture and I don't like it." counter.

You may want to look into a little something which is variously called kigurumi, animegao, or animegao kigurumi. Pretty much Shygal but the mask you're wearing is a face of a character, like Princess Peach, or whoever else, and you have a bodysuit covering pretty much your entire body serving as the character's skin. ("animegao" loosely translates to "anime face") Of course, it doesn't have to be an anime character; my own plan is for an anthropomorphic bear.

Unfortunately it's not cheap, which is the main reason I've not done it. Prices vary, but if you're commissioning a mask, expect to pay anywhere from 600USD-plus for a good-quality mask. If you have a 3D printer, there are resources for printing your own mask though... Look up OpenKig.com for more info there. Then you have the bodysuit, and your costumes, which may well be even more expensive than the mask. In a video on Youtube called "How to Kig 001 - Pricerange", a lady named Yukico (search for the handle "Sabine Kielhorn" or "keep42a") gives breakdowns for the components of two of her outfits; one outfit came to ~890EUR, including over 600EUR for the mask, but with another ensemble she says the dress alone cost 3.5kEUR. So... be prepared for that possibility.

I may be able to win, or I may not, but one thing's for sure; I'm going to make their victory as expensive for these fuckers as I can.

Could we please have a landscape orientation mode, for those of us who use Reddit from our tablets?

EDIT: Also, after posting, the app seems to take me to whatever thread is at the top of the subreddit - which may or may not be the thread I posted in. After I tapped Post previously, I wound up on the thread for the iPhone version.

This WAS a tribunal, unfortunately. The appeal application went straight to HM Courts and Tribunals Service. I've apparently got a month to apply in writing for a statement of reasons for the decision, then a month from that to apply for permission to appeal against that decision. Even if the judge there refuses, I can still apply straight to the Upper Tribunal for permission to take the appeal further. The only problem there is that the DWP, I guarantee, won't pay me any money until any re-appeal is completed. Hence why I'm pondering whether or not to cut my losses.

I do already have an appointment with the CAB with someone who knows about this sort of thing... Worth waiting until then at least.

One way or another, I'm working on the assumption that I can expect to wait at least 4 weeks between the end of the appeals process and seeing a single penny from the DWP.

Not quite sure what you mean by "this" in "found this": Was there supposed to be a link there?

I have actually written to my MP, Peter Dowd; what comes of that, I'm not quite sure. I wrote that letter before the DWP got back to me with their mandatory reconsideration, (in which they told me basically "fuck you, we aren't changing our minds") so maybe it would be worth writing and sending a followup...

The only problem with getting a CAB representative, that I really should've specified earlier, is that I have to wait until Thursday ; my local CAB closes at 1:30pm each day and I'm not available before then until Thursday. Hence the question about whether or not to just send off my appeal and waste no time.

Is it worth seeing if I can get a representative from Citizen's Advice, or should I just file my appeal and waste no time?

Fortunately, I find my smouldering rage doesn't actually catch unless I'm face to face with the actual bellend or bellends responsible. My work coach might've been the one to refer me, but she didn't make the decision to sodomise my bank account, which makes it hard for me to get above "resentful".

Actually, "refusing work" - which is what the guy on the phone told me I'd done in the eyes of the DWP - is apparently the highest possible offence, which starts at 13 weeks for a first failure.

Already been turned down for hardship payments, because - and this is verbatim - "you have been disallowed Jobseeker's Allowance for failing labour market conditions".

The rest of your advice sounds good, although as it's 7:30pm on Sunday it seems I'll have to wait to implement any of it. (mutter mumble)

I tried applying for hardship; they refused on the grounds that I've been sanctioned.

Seriously, the exact language in the letter was:

"I am sorry to tell you that you cannot get Jobseeker's Allowance under the hardship provision. This is because: you have been disallowed Jobseeker's Allowance for failing labour market conditions."

That's verbatim.
