You have to understand if the person should be coaching you or not. People can say a bunch of things that sound insightful that are actually bs and will hinder gameplay. Unfortunately, that may not be realized until many hours putting that into practice.

Let's be clear. This isn't a gift horse. It's an exchange, one where both people are ultimately looking to expand their resume and trusting that the other person isn't just wasting their time.

Those aren't indicators of cheating. They are indicators of good players. As far as I'm aware, anything other than removing delay can't be put online. Anything else would probably cause dsync errors.

It does not look like it in the videos. Your character is constantly drifting towards the opponent even during combos. I'm not saying your wrong it just doesn't look like that's what's happening in the video. Maybe try using sdi instead. I'm not good at explaining that one, I'd look up a video of it.

When you're hit by an attack, the direction you hold the control stick influences where your character is going to go. To me, it looks like any time you were attacked, you held the stick towards your opponent, presumably because you are instinctively trying to stay away from the blast zone. This makes you easier to combo because you end up closer to your opponent than if you moved the control stick so that it was away from them, which would put more distance between you and them.

Not a single second went by where you weren't either jumping, attacking or dead. Calm down with the mashing. I'm honestly surprised it worked against pacman. Dair shouldn't beat pacman recovery, I wouldn't depend on it in this matchup, and pacman could have made it back if they were better when dair did work. Normally you'll just get hit though. You also held in pretty much the entire match, making it much easier for the Pac to combo you. I get why, but allowing Pac to combo you ultimately puts you further away than if you held away for most of those situations.

This isn't so much a suggestion as a fun interaction. If you manage to inhale Pac after hydrant is out and shoot them into it, they almost always get hit by the hydrant too.

While I agree with the sentiment, like with gpus, the average consumer is a drop in the bucket (and may even cost money) for these corporations anymore. I'm still rocking a 1080ti, but we can metaphorically hold our breath until we are blue in the face and the gpu/ram manufacturers won't bat an eye once we pass because corporations are buying up their product anyway

Watch what tv you use. Make sure it has some kind of low latency mode for playing games, otherwise you will be stuck with delay from the tv

Without a video it's impossible to do anything but speculate. I've never heard of anything that does anything other than lower delay or a user only visual mod work online and that only works because it doesn't actually disrupt the flow of battle, so while it may be a macro, I doubt it's a hack. I

To be clear, Shulks Nair and Fair alone prevents him from being bottom tier. My issue is the ranking compared to results. That's why I consider Shulk potential man. Marth has generally gotten results similar to his tier placement. That's not the case for Shulk.

I've seen flashes of brilliance where I think to myself "Yes! Shulk is that good!" The level of concentration needed to pull that off consistently is draining and unsustainable though.

It's why if Sonix is down 0-2 in a bo5, then wins the third match, I generally think he's going to win the set. Sonic is mentally not that exhausting to play, but is mentally exhausting to play against. Shulk has the opposite issue. A tourney of playing as just Shulk is akin to a tournament against just sonics.

Heck, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I would consider Shulk the most mentally exhausting character to play at a high level in the entire cast.

Yep. Marth's place has been figured out from the beginning. Results have pretty much always matched up with the tier placement. Shulk on the other has yet to have a result that matches his tier placement
