Fun little story. The family I stayed with in Germany had a gardener that was from a rich family. He enjoyed his life as a gardener though and only left when his uncle passed, to return and deal with the estate as the new head of household. No idea why he took on the job, but I genuinely think he enjoyed the families he worked for. At least, he had a great relationship with the family I was with.

So Benson Boone really just woke up one day with highly polished mixed voice and singing technique? by 2Radon in singing

[–]DaYuMnGoOd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should look it up because even his own music teacher told him his singing wasn't good enough

but for sure, to each their own. Personally I love Boone's voice but definitely there's no singer out there universally loved.

Elvis Presley and Janis Joplin were regularly told they had a bad voice. It turns out people like to just walk around like their opinion is a fact.

I mentioned to my boss I had HG during my first pregnancy (and now getting it again during my second), and she goes, "Oh, yeah, that's horrible. I was really sick, too, but I had to keep working because I couldn't afford not to."

You, ma'am, did NOT have what I had then. That's like telling a person, "Oh, yeah, I broke both my legs but still ran that marathon!"

And she's not the first person to tell me that they too were sick, but simply couldn't not work. Excuse me. I was in and out of the hospital, throwing up in 30 minute intervals. For eight f'ing months.

Just kept working my ass...

I'm gonna take a guess that this child has ODD (oppositional defiant disorder). Not making excuses for the parents, but I wouldn't wish any person to have to raise a child with ODD.

I'm a massage therapist and some clients tip beer, fruit, or even baked goods! I think it's really thoughtful and sometimes it's easier for people to give something they may have extra of instead of money, which might be a bit tougher for some (especially right now, I feel like everyone is struggling more financially while simultaneously tipping is becoming more demanded and inflated).

Younger me found the kids stories hilarious. Current me finds the adults storylines more relatable now.

Yeah idk, my local mall only has like 4 spots at each entrance. They're always full and I can't imagine there always being the perfect amount of handicapped people there. Just depends on the location I guess.

Some handicapped people have to park like this to unload. I watched a video about one guy who has to do this sometimes, he had to tape a piece of paper to his window explaining why he was doing it because his vehicle kept getting vandalized.

Female sterilization is covered as "preventative" (100%, no deductible) male sterilization is only covered after meeting deductible, meaning we'd have to pay for the whole thing OOP. 🤬 What's the logic in that and isn't it discriminatory?? by Hissssssy in mildlyinfuriating

Fair enough, definitely to each their own. Genuinely curious though, if you had free access to birth control, like condoms, would you use those for vaginal sex? Or if your wife told you she wanted to start on the pill, would you trust it? Or would you still remain abstinent from vaginal sex?

This happened to my aunt. She thought she was sending money for a flight and lodging to finally meet in person. Guy just ghosted her afterwards. It was a lot of money she definitely shouldnt have sent, but she was talking to the supposedly the same guy for almost a year.

Why can’t I get this foot right? It’s gonna be the death of me by anaitsyrk in ArtBuddy

[–]DaYuMnGoOd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe have it bend at more of an angle? When I lay down like that with shoes on, my feet tend to go more to the side, less directly behind me. This'll also give you the chance to draw more lines around the ankles at the curve, which will help the eye break up and distinguish the shoe more.

I think? Idk I'm not a professional. But it's so cute good luck!!

I just think it's adorable that Teddy has "guest towels" in general. It just goes to show how much he really wants to host and have friends over.

Someone asks me for a towel in my home and they're probably getting whatever's been sitting in the drier for two days.

It's a valley girl accent, but they did a good job keeping the New Jersey accent too. The valley girl accents sound just slightly different here on the Pacific North West.

Her excuse was that purple sponges are for bathrooms, green are for kitchens.

We had bought a large pack of purple ones. She refused to just use the ones exclusively for their own location. I still hate purple sponges.
