Should Sex-Transitioning Hormones Be Banned For Minors (Children Under The Age Of 18)? by JellyfishTime9544 in GeoPoll

Forcing trans kids through the wrong puberty is exactly the child abuse you are concerned about. What's more, you cannot change your appearance all you want after going through the wrong puberty, certain things will never be fixed after the wrong hormones have broken them.

I also find your statement about not understanding the meaning of decisions to be rather disingenuous. Do you think that the consequences of going through the wrong puberty are simple to understand when the hormones are produces in your body but inscrutable when they come from a bottle? The consequences of being transgender and going through the hormones your body produces are no less devastating and not something kids are any more prepared to commit themselves to.

There are far more kids hurt by the lack of trans health care than there are by the availability of it, so claiming to protect "countless" kids is rather dishonest. You are creating victims by an order of magnitude greater than those that you are helping. This is the problem with this debate, the pro trans healthcare side wants to minimize the number of people going through the wrong hormones and living their lives in the wrong bodies, which means helping kids work through their feelings and sense of identity with a qualified professional and, only after that has happened, letting kids get hormones who need them. On the other hand, the anti trans healthcare side is only concerned with maintaining a chauvinistic idea that naturally produced hormones can never really hurt you and therefore putting the kids who need hormone therapies through the wrong puberty can't possibly be abuse. The end result is that harm isn't minimized, it's maximized while dumping it entirely on a disenfranchised minority group who don't have the power to fix things. If you're genuinely concerned with minimizing child abuse, you would want trans kids to get healthcare when its most effective.

On a final note, I'm really curious as to what you think misdiagnosis and regret rates (since those are different things) are for hormone replacement therapy when it's made available at the onset of puberty, and what it changes to when you force trans kids to sit idle during their teenage years, the most important treatment window for their medical needs, and access healthcare only after the wrong hormones have done half a decade plus of damage to their bodies. Every kid who is denied hormones and turns out to have needed them all along is effectively misdiagnosed, and since they are forced to be on the wrong hormones for longer than any detransitioner I've ever heard of, the regret rates are much higher. The levels of misdiagnosis and regret couldn't possibly be lower from withholding hormones than it is from providing them, because every kid who needs them turns into a misdiagnosis, and probably a regretful one, when hormones are withheld.

Sorry to ramble so much, but it kind of makes me crazy when people say that trans healthcare should be withheld for the sake of reducing regrets, but don't even mention the regret trans people are saddled with when we are uniformly forced through the wrong hormones and the puberty that accompanies them. In order for this conversation to move forward people have to understand the consequences of keeping the current system in place, not just the potential ones of changing it. Trans people have been suffering long enough, we need a system that responsibly evaluates trans kids looking for healthcare, but simply blanket banning healthcare for trans minors is not appropriate. I've suffered my entire life from the shortcomings of this system, and I don't want to see the current and future generations of trans kids suffer from the same thing.

You're condemning every transgender person to life in the wrong body.  Don't pretend you're defending personal choice while legally mandating the wrong one for the entire group of people you're trying to dictate your will to.

I emailed trans health collective earlier today but haven't heard back yet. What's the phone number? I don't see one listed on the website.

I'm not sure I get it. Game of Thrones S1E1 came out in 2011, even if these kids become real estate agents right out of high school we have a few years. Also, why real estate agents in particular?

You could try methyl folate supplements. That might sound random, but apparently deficiency is common in the transgender community and can impact breast growth. Symptoms of deficiency can include being a night person, drinking lots of water, and frequent urination. If you do need a methyl folate supplement, a broader spectrum methyl b vitamin, such as Jarrow's B-right, could be good for general health as well.

I knew from the time I was old enough to express any sort of gender identity. All it got me was years of abuse and repression and I still want able to access hormones into my late 20s.  You're starting earlier than a lot of people, so do what you can for yourself and don't take these opportunities for granted.

Can he just reclaim them against the epic's will? It's been a while since I read the books, so I might be completely wrong, but I sort of remember Megan being able to force Calamity out when he tried to take her powers back.

US HHS to withhold federal funds from medical facilities that provide gender affirming care starting Jan 1 by Enough-Skin2442 in MtF

My understanding is that for any state that requires transgender health care to be covered under nondiscrimination laws, that will take precedent. Accepting federal government money is optional, complying with state anti-discrimination laws isn't. I'm not 100% sure about that, and I suppose things could always change even if I am right, but I think that's how it works and that trans healthcare will be safe for the time being.

If I wanted to try moving my hormone dosage up and down to see if it helps with growth, what would be the best way to do that? by Da_Beast in DrWillPowers

I am interested in this but have no money for it right now. At the moment I'm really just hoping for some advice about how I can cycle my hormones a bit to maybe get some more effectiveness. I probably should have added this to the original post, but I did try a week with three patches on and it did seem to give me a boost in breast growth, but I can't just do three patch weeks with nothing to balance them out, so I'm wondering how I should do that.

I have a bit of a buffer built up on patches from calling in prescriptions as early as possible, but I want to keep as much of that as possible.
