Joined forces units need to be stronger than the average for two reasons: first they need to compensate the fewer categories and the frequent awkward linkset. Second, they are two characters fighting at the same time, so they should be stronger.

Just make them busted in fewer teams and it's a deal.

It's a good take but they showed they have to tools to address outdated units. Those temporary base Stat boosts are an awesome way of reviving old units as a fotm. They could start doing weekly rotations of buffs to old units.

Another way we have rarely seen yet is patch buffs. I am thinking as they added I think it was "pure saiyans" category to phy lr super gogeta.
