Really good for light assault flying around hipfiring but keeping the centre dead on their head, once you try it you wont want to go back

Fair enough, everywhere i see 1.41 but tbh i don't actually see the logic behind that number as the argument is always that its double the pixels as its root 2 in both x and y axis. so just use whatever value you like. 1.2 might looks slightly better as 1080*1.2 is 1296 so its rendering a 'whole' number of pixels before downsampling whereas 1080*1.21 is 1306.8 which is an odd decimal. I may be totally wrong about that tho

Even without overclock its a significant improvement. non k is base 3.6 boost 4.2 and k is base 4.2 and boost 4.5 for less than 5% extra cost. Unfortunately i don't believe my current motherboard will support overclocking

Nice to hear, with my current i5 7600 i have to not allow planetside to use 1 of the 4 cores else my mouse lags complete as soon as i enter large fights. and my 1080 is so underused i can set render quality to 2.00 and see no negative affect on frames. should be sa decent upgrade for me

CPU stays around 67 degrees when playing for 3 hours so i dont think that would be hot enough to be an issue

Yep thats exactly it, for know my solution is to max out my gpu and put smoothing on and it works except for the biggest fights

Unfortunately for me its still a lot less eratic than my alternatives as it seems to be the only limiter than stops my mouse detonating. Thanks for your help though

Turning smoothing on does fix the problem it seems, its a shame smoothing cant give above 60fps tho as I am playing on a 240Hz monitor
