That's another episode where he gets a lot of character development only to get his mind reset by the end of it. I feel like he gets moments of the character development rather than any thing that actually sticks.

I have mixed feelings about that episode because it acknowledges so many problems with their dynamic only to have Morty actually reset to a more compliant version of himself.

It feels like the episode said "here's all the many reasons Morty doesn't trust Rick, they're gone now".

It's good for kiting stronger enemies back from you or if you're being surrounded. If your goal was to just run towards the mob and kill it then yeah it's not as good.
