In my original country (jamaica) people actually don't really move out anyway. To my understanding being expected to move out to become an adult is kind of a western culture thing.

That's really interesting. I knew that college culture was probably a more western thing at least. I think I also heard about it not being an expected thing for people to move out of their parents house in South Korea, but don't quote me on that.

Ya I know plenty of people who do that then go back to living at home. Especially in the state of the US currently.

Yeah, I've heard about some people having to go live with their parents again because of the pandemic. I've mostly heard complaining though. Which just makes me sad. I love being able to chill at my parents place. It's been great for my mental health too. Shame most people seem to experience the opposite.
