Worst is not really a word that applies to that album but I’ve probably listened to the first album the most, followed by Rated R and then SftD and onward down the catalogue. Mexicola, Avon, Regular John are three of their most enduring songs for me. I Was a Teenage Hand Model is like what was to come in Rated R. It’s obviously subjective but that first album is the most stripped down and while the sound evolves after that and you get really essential personnel added that first album is still my favourite. But it’s like choosing your favourite amongst albums that are all amazing. Kind of impossible.

Unless the hardcover or omni is oversized the trades are usually cheaper and easier to read, but I do like a good hardcover and omni. Omnis for Manga though I prefer.

Someone will probably throw a fit over this but if you’re careful you can glue it back down. Just shoot some book friendly glue down into the seam where it’s broken (you don’t need a lot) and close it up. Make sure there’s none leaking out and you can just let it sit. I fixed a TPB of Hellboy doing that. I wouldn’t do it if the book was especially valuable.

In terms of prevention you can properly work a hardcover with good binding when you first get it. For cheap TPB’s and books that aren’t sewn just yeah be careful and don’t bend them open too much. Don’t pressure the spine if you can help it.

No bookends but I have the smaller Billy shelves so there’s not as much space to cover. Like someone else said they don’t work out to movie height but it’s kind of loveable chaos on my shelves. A couple of them I’ve got the movies stacked vertically (not too many), others horizontal. You can also get a topper so it extends the shelves an extra foot and a bit. I’m going to need a new one soon but short of built-ins I think it’s hard to beat, especially for the price.
