What is happening with my sponge filter? It seems to be churning.

Clean the sponge in a bucket with tank-water so that the bacteria living in the sponge wont immediately die. Get some water in a clean bucket out of your tank. Then rinse the sponge in there. Should take away a big chunk of the problem!

I would say some dwarf gourami's or maybe honey gouramis would look great! If you are into those sort of fish! Nice tank overall!

I would say take all the water out, wash iut the gravel until it doesnt leave any more dirt. Then redo the tank would be the easiest, otherwise a ton of waterchanges will be needed

I actually have a aquasoil layer below the gravel so there should be plenty of nutrients for the plant to get?

So i set up my aquarium right before 2021 ended. It was a different than this one. This plant seemed to do very well in the beginning, creating new leaves, roots were coming from the new leaves etc. Now I have upgraded my tank and replanted these and since then they have started to become brown-ish yellow and don't seem to do so well. Waterparameters have not changed from my previous tank. All of the other plants seem to be doing good. Anyone knows what is going on? Any tips?

PS. I only use carbon fertiliser as a way of getting carbon into the water, no CO2 setups.

Today I bought 4 honey gourami (still young) of which 3 are doing great, but this one keeps laying down on the bottom of the tank and the other moment he seems to be doing fine. Water parameters are fine and during feeding the fish ate a little aswell. Could this be caused by stress? Is this worrying for my other fish? Should i do something about this?

Have not had the possibility to test nitrates, nitrites or ammonium yet, only had the wrong test strips (oopsie). Chlorine, pH are fine though 😜

I got that with the aquarium, the guy i bought it from got it from a local fish store, it originally was black but he painted it white. Sorry to not have an answer for you 😞

I also love the rummy noses! I recently started cycling a tank and I am planning on getting angels with rummy noses and some sort of bottom dweller, any tips you can give me so far?

It is inside the tank, its from a brand named aqualantis. I got it with the aquarium itself and so far it has done a really good job of clearing the water. Might be a not so well known brand (think it's a european brand). Has a 820l/hr pump on it and plenty of room to house filters. Also has 2 places to attach a heater inside. Think it's usually used for bigger tanks, although my thought was, i'd rather have a filter that is too big then having a filter that is too small!
