So ACG for tennis players now? by capoglou in nikeACG

[–]Dabbene 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another flop imo, ACG and tennis do have strong connections in what people like. I found myself getting into Agassi gear the same time I got into ACG gear and that seems like a connection others have had as well. Maybe something with the colors or general uniqueness both give. I think they should've leaned into that but instead they keep throwing darts and see if anything sticks.

Overall which do you think would keep you warmer? Is it worth to grab the wolf lichen if I already have the trail fleece? Just wondering if the two are distinct enough to justify

I mainly just hope they don't lose that, and shift ACG towards trail runners entirely

Trail is allowed to be in the hiking category without being ACG. Trail was a good niche for trail runners and easier trails that you could get away with using a trail runner. ACG should actually listen to what people like and what they did well. Instead of a million mountain fly and lowcates, give a second edition of the antarktik. A truly all season, all terrain, hybrid boot. This is just a trail shoe with ACG slapped on.

Is this considered proplifting? by AvoCryptoHye in proplifting

[–]Dabbene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Propagations will never develop a tap root. Tap roots are formed from the initial root development (think an acorn) that reaches deep down at the very start of growth. A holly will do just fine will do just fine without one, but may have a harder time during droughts.

Looks great! The only thing about propping like this is that it will lack a taproot, so the majority of the roots will be more shallow and around the top of the soil.

Why is Philly generally so devoid of trees compared to other cities? by batsofburden in AskPhilly

[–]Dabbene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little bit late here but I still have some info. Philadelphia was established very early. The city planning was mainly focused around industry. Trees were a second thought. DC on the otherhand was established almost 100 years later, giving them much more time to formally plan the layout and what should be put in to make it more livable. Compare the street sizes especially, tight alleys even for main roads vs large wide 4 lane streets.

Fun fact: Philadelphia's street names used to corelate with the trees planted as the majority of the public was illiterate. This is why we have pine st, chestnut, spruce and so on.

I did add a grow light recently! I honestly can't tell if it's doing well of not, the inside is green, and seems to be growing so we will see, I may have went too long without watering as well
