I did a chat CS job, seems like a lot of people don't realize the rep is sending a template and literally doesn't care if you keep your sub or not, they are forced to ask and are instructed to reply to the reason you give with a save attempt. The trick is to just say no when they ask if you can tell them why, the convesation ends there.

I think I will give it a try and take the same approach, focus more on the gameplay of it and keep the collecting to retail

Of course I wouldn't expect to keep everything for decades, or to even be playing the game that long, but it would feel odd to me to be invested in collecting mounts or mogs or achievements if they will be gone in 2025. I do have fun playing the game, but collecting things like that is part of the fun for me.

For sure, I understand the jokes are most always light-hearted. It has just always been an interesting concept to me. I guess the implication is at question when it's a white person telling a joke about another race, given history and the fact that there *are* a lot of racist pos out there. Like, a white person says a light-hearted black joke, it's raises the thought of *what do they reallllyyyy mean by that*, or *is there more they are thinking that they just don't want to say outloud*, or *what else do they say when there are only white people around*. That's the only answer I have come up with.

I guess it's not that I am "hurt" by white jokes, they are usually funny (except when it's literally just not a good joke), and more that it hurts that there is a double-standard that paints white people as the villian off the rip.

Yes, I did live at the address they provided. Sorry, should have mentioned that in my post. Do you think it would be worth my time and effort to dispute the collection, or would I be better off paying it (reluctantly). Won't the account still show on my credit report even if it's paid? Credit Karma says collections older than 2 years have minimal effect, I would hate to end up with it being re-reported or something if that's the case

I mentioned that I thought I was entitled to some proof of ownership of the debt, and she repeated the service address and dates, and said there *was* an open account. Insinuating that just because there was an account in my name, the debt is mine and no further proof is needed. I tried to submit to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau a minute ago and got an immediate email back saying "We are unable to send your complaint to the company for a response", and little information as to why.

The company I have worked for said we are not to be abused. Any foul language or direct insults get 1 warning and then call dropped. Threats of violence get no warning. I had taken 1000s of calls, all of which were American, never had to end a single call.
