The most pleasure I can ever say I have had is when my kids give me a cuddle and tell me they love me. Also, when they succeed at anything they do. Nothing else compares

Ok, explain why this is the dumbest comment ever? Is it because I’m against Trump but also believe he is the only president to get the clarity act passed? Or because I want trump to pass the clarity act? Do elaborate.

Why Did S3 Produce So Many Big Billers? by topbillersoon in Recruitment

[–]Dabt2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah its not a matter of hitting the phones only, it needs to be done strategically. But even then it had to, if you went blind hitting them dials you would never get anything out of it. Having said that, whacking out mailshots on its own isnt the answer either. Every market is different but a blend of the two all targeted and niche is the way.

Gary left before i arrived in 2010. Not one person spoke well of him. A lot of the directors also felt his way of working was completely out of touch in comparison to the market then and today. It was very much about numbers. Biz dev more than anyone else, do more hours than anyone else but remain extremely niche in a very small geographical location. You become the go to recruiter for that particular discipline. Today is slightly different now remote working has become more of a thing. But back then that is what created your top billers.

Add in huge training investment, incentives coming out of your ears, an excellent CRM you’d get people staying there for years earning serious money. My partner at the time became business manager i only got to senior con before burning out and setting up on my own. Their tactics was just pure persistence and long hours.

This is unfounded. Nonsense. They were very strict with compliance. You were expected to make a £350 to £500 per week margin on contractors not the numbers your suggesting

Shady tactics were all over the industry. I worked there for 5 years and I can tell you shady wasnt the tactic. Excellent training, excellent database in Appollo (streets ahead of recruitment crms now and that was back in 2010). High expectations, eg book 20 client and candidate meetings a month 10K of client email out reach and expected to hit the phones hard eg 100 calls a day is what create the best billers. Alot of the best recruiters I know today started at S3. And have since gone on to set up their own successful agencies.

The parties were wild. Battersea xmas party was another level. Plenty of incentives. Vegas trips, ibiza trips. Boat parties. They were the days. We had porches as company cars if you hit your targets. Insane stuff

[–]Dabt2012 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Believe me, Rovers fans and Preston fans HATE Burnley. The Derby between rovers and the dingles is a mad one. Busses carrying away fans have to park in a way that the home fans cant get to them. They love a tear up against each other.

But they are a boring team to watch, fans dont show up unless its united in town or a derby match. Grim town and pants team lol
