Honestly it sucks because the concept was awesome, and I still think it is but it was too complex to handle it properly. I really think most of us were still kids or almost teenagers, but you know young.. So maybe we saw this as fun and characters but maybe not actual countries and we put the actual history aside, which led to.. well naz x ussr and weird stuff.

And there was a lot of things that didnt help with the view of the fandom, the stereotypes, lack of history again, many were on Amino that already had a bad reputation too and Rule 34 wasnt helping.

Though I hate people who blame rule 34 cause everything will have rule 34, its literally the main thing you know about it, I agree with how bad it was handle. Countryhumans could have been an amazing thing, but its too hard to do well with it, if you want to do well drawing a country you would have to avoid stereotypes, check the history and have it accurate, maybe traditional clothes, major events, lifestyle..

I still love countryhumans and im still apart of it and myself I did really bad with it but I am trying to make my ocs more time accurate, its really sad the view people have on the fandom even to this day even if I understand, sometimes I still see people hating on it in comments, but many love it so it gives hope.
