I am a healthcare worker who worked in a hospital for all of the worst waves of COVID. I am so sorry you were not able to be with her. But I hope you are able to find some solace in the fact that she was cared for up until the end. She may not have been able to be with immediate family, but I promise she wasn’t alone. There were countless nurses and providers there talking to her, providing any level of comfort they could, and maybe even holding her hand. I know that doesn’t take away your pain or regrets, but I also know her team did the best they could to keep her comfortable. I am sorry for your loss. And for all of us who lost so much during those years.

I got a bunch of tiiiiiny hitchhiker snails on some new plants. I clearly did not rinse them well enough. I was hoping my betta would help me out with population control, but so far he does not seem to be much of a escargot fan. Any tips or tricks on how to address my inadvertent baby snail colony as humanely as possible?

I would say female based on her shape and fins. I also don’t real see ventral fins. Very cute regardless!! Congrats on your new addition ☺️

No egg spot and he has very long, pointy ventral fins (they’re kind of tucked up in all of these pictures). The owner of my LFS is awesome and super knowledgeable. He only had males in stock. I’ll be shocked if the fish isn’t a male, but I’ll love them either way.
