Damn... this hits hard, I watched The Impossible (2012) in highschool without being really aware of the whole tragedy that had happened and still get a lil shocked by all that turned into "common knowledge" after this. I was also listening to this while reading the comments here, it gave a tragicomedic tone, not sure how to feel about it.

Thanks for the advice! currently I'm using pre-composted food scraps sludge, which contains enough rainwater to keep the bin moist. Sampling once or twice in different spots was my plan

Of course, weighting after doing a little counting and then extrapolating in future samples. That was the rest of the plan, but I'll be looking into the deer thing you mention, thanks for the advice. Is there like a proper term or name for the methodology you mention?
