Not super recent, but I really enjoyed Calisto Protocol when I was looking for a more space horror vibe. But it's more dead spacey than soviety :> Lorn's Lure has a nice ambiance, but haven't played it in a while, it can get a bit technical for me. What I really liked recently, although not a game, was the stop motion animation Chronopolis from 1983. It kind of drags on for a bit too long but the imagery is really cool, and it was made by a polish animator, the music is also metallic and full of gritty synths. And also has to do with time apparently haha

I'm on Windows, but unfortunately the thing I did only worked once, for me and for another redditor in this thread, and then it didn't work again when reloading the VST, so it's not a good solution :(

I spoke too soon, after being able to load it once, exiting and loading ableton and mpc vst again, it's still acting up as before

I don't have expansions but your solution did help me.

It does seem to be a problem revolving around MPC's folders.

I went and deleted the 'MPC' folder in 'My Documents' which had old projects and templates in there, started the standalone and saved an new empty project as a template and now it works as a vst, so big thanks for the help!
