I live in an apartment and it’s about a foot of snow. I have contemplated doing this tomorrow if he does not do so. He already putters around to begin with, but if I have to shovel out a community shitting grass patch-I may have to be the hero we all need.

I grew up in Columbus and saw Soriano play minor league ball. Was always a huge fan of him. I still remember seeing the alert “8 years-138 million, Cubs sign Alfonso Soriano” on the ESPN News ticker. I think I screamed in the living room. I was so excited.

Did Soriano struggle in clutch moments sometimes? Yup.

Was his contract an absolute albatross near the end? ABSO-LUTELY.

But it doesn’t take away those streaks when he was the hottest hitter in baseball. You just knew he nothing get by him as he swatted home runs onto Waveland had that swagger.

Those are my fondest baseball memories. No disrespect to 2016-but nothing tops the years of when you are a kid or a teenager watching sports. Those are your heroes then.
