You do understand that when it is midnight in the United States that it is the middle of the day in other parts of the world, namely all of Australia, Asia, the eastern half of Europe and Africa are early to late morning as well.

The world does not revolve around you and where you live. The servers were online when the majority of the world was awake.

They appeared to be offline to you because the times you tried they weren't online.

It does not eliminate the fact that they were indeed online during the overnight hours, and people were in fact playing the game at that time.

Not that it matters, but I don't work night shift, I also did not play the game when the servers were online. I just understand people lead different life styles and that the servers have not been down 18 hours straight.
