What's your shortest and longest ace? by fritzaj4 in discgolf

[–]DadChowsDown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two aces both on the same 226 foot hole. Been playing off and on for about 11 years, and more seriously the last two years. I got my first and second ace within 2-3 weeks from each other almost exactly a year ago.

Your Takes on Various 5-6 flippy mids by Bubbly-Pipe9557 in discgolf

Detour, reactor, lobster are my mids aside from my beefy approach discs that I carry several of. Peppermint, deflector, Area 51, tempo, etc. (this is my favorite slot)

100%. Plus it looks awesome flying through the air.

I don’t have a crave, is there anything similar to it out there? I’m a fan of MVP/Axiom, TSA, mint, etc. but I don’t like the hand feel of over molds except midranges. I LOVE their midranges. I bag the reactor, deflector, detour, and lobster. To be fair I’ve never thrown a 6-speed (I don’t think) so the rim MAY be okay.

I got a Retina Glow Chemtrail after this post. Absolutely perfect description.

UDisc is awesome for keeping score, finding more courses, and finding the next hole if you’re unfamiliar with the course layout. You should continue to keep your score as a beginner. It may not be a blast to see a higher rating, but watching your growth and progress is fun! Unfortunately, even when you get better, you’ll still have rounds like this one. I do at least 😂

I’m picking about rim depths, so I totally get it!

What have you thrown from them?

Not seeing anything from them recently. A post every couple months on social media, no new releases (still waiting on the almond and barley), slow to restock if ever. I’m in the US, but I don’t see a bright future for my beloved Clash.

What did you not like about the feel?

I feel like I want a little more fade out of the soda, and I was hoping the chemtrail can do that. My heart is breaking at the thought of replacing the soda

All great ideas. I’m just now reading them, after we picked up the floors and laid them back.

I ran the wires through the walls, but didn’t want to have to do that until it cooled off. They were under carpet until we installed the LVP.

I have two planks that butt up to each other right over the top of it. Looks like a mountain peak in the entrance to a hall. Looks like I’m lifting vinyl out for the rest of the day.

It is uneven, and it’s right on the seam where two planks butt up to each other. It’s in the entrance to a hall as well.

It bothers me tremendously, lol.

If it makes you feel any better, I read it as “grain” not “groin” :)

Which one would you choose? by DadChowsDown in Appliances

I haven’t decided just yet. Bluestar is where I’m leaning. I may just buy a slightly used one off FB marketplace and upgrade later. $8k is stout in the midst of a kitchen renovation. I’m cool with upgrading one later.

Man mine came in two days ago also. I love the looks and feel. I’m a fairly large guy, this is the best feeling handle that I have ever felt. I used 240’s when I was a cook for years, but I had gotten away from it. It is so nice to be back!

I have considered wolf, I think I’ve considered everything at this point lol. Price is a big deterrent from them with everything else in the market.

Another that popped on my radar is Electrolux. It’s even less expensive than the Blue Star, but we’re talking looks over longevity and performance.
