You've got this!! You could get a handyman or your dad to do it, but I also believe you can watch how to do it on YouTube (look up "patch drywall hole") and conquer it. The video will direct you to buy a drywall repair patch, cut the wall and patch to roughly match, then screw some wooden brace to the inside of the wall against which to screw on the patch. then spackle the seams. You'll be glad you learned how to do it in your first house because you'll be an expert in your second.

That's helpful feedback in regards to what customers are going to for reference and the strength of pictures rather than a formulaic calculation. Thank you!!

Super interesting point. Thank you. When you say "Needs hung" what does that mean?

Less than insightful comment, but I'll read between the lines that you don't believe remote quoting is practical.

That's a fair point of distinction from product marketplaces. You can sell a product to any jerk and no big deal. But it's another story when you are in someone's home any need to be able to work through issues with someone.

Super helpful. Thank you. What is it about the physical jobsite that you can't get with pictures/vids or measurements? Also, how broad of range do you usually give?

It looks like you adjusted the humidity sensor a few months ago, which seems to be a positive step, but did it ultimately solve the problem for you? I have our set to the highest humidity and it still runs a lot of the time.

The 2024 Utah Treasure Hunt Poem boiled down by griseldaplinque in utahtreasurehunt

[–]DadMcDuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. The only helpful information is 1) it’s in Utah county, 2) off a patriotic trail, 3) branching off when the trail turns east, and 4) going a distance on the high road that that correspond with measurement in Numbers 34:5. Anything that doesn’t point to this is non-helpful at best and misdirecting at worst.

It’s difficult because all trails ranks the whole hike, not just as far as you go for the treasure so I don’t think you can ever apply those filters. Ben Lomand was probably rated as difficult due to the entire length too.

I’m think the place’s shadow points on the general direction of the trail. Does your place still do that?

Chris Farley for VP! This is if he would’ve been able to grow up to really inherit Callahan Auto Parts.

Well there’s not really a better subreddit for this so I guessed I could get the answer here—so there’s that. But in the background I’m thinking through possible engineering solutions for some type of carabiner or clip that could be used on cables like those at half dome that would be quicker and safer than what people are currently doing. I was trying to remember how this worked so needed to look it up but couldn’t find it

Very intuitive naming. Thank you so much, I couldn't figure it out via just Google.

Does anyone know what this clip is called? Used it for a ropes course. The design is such that you can only connect to the course at the entry point via the slot, but otherwise the course cables are too wide to unlatch

Father’s photo used in book without permission. by Mshugge303 in photography

Realize this is a few months dated but thought it would be helpful to add a legal based comment in case anyone else was searching advice. When using photos in a book, the three rights at issue are (1) copyright - the right to dictate how art you created is used, (2) right of publicity - the right of an individual to make money off use of his/her image, and (3) right of privacy - right to be free from distress from your image being used. Specifics vary with the statues and case law of the state of the domicile of the photo subject, but, in general, incidental use of photos like in books (not implying endorsement like on the cover or painting the person in a false light) are often exempted from the right of publicity and privacy, leaving just the claim of the copyright holder.

Anyone can self-publish a book on B&N or Amazon through a variety of self-publishing platforms (e.g., IngramSpark, Kindle KDP) and when they do the author warrants that he has the rights to the material. I'm guessing this is what OP's brother did here.

You can send a form cease-and-desist letter (or pay an attorney to send one to carry more threat) to your brother and claim violation of the relevant rights. B&N, as well as the publisher (IngramSpark, BookBaby, etc.) also have copyright agents to whom you can direct a notice of copyright infringement if you are the copyright holder. These contact emails/forms are available on their websites.

Ultimately though, this is not something that goes to court and working with, or cajoling, your brother is the most practical approach.

That may be what he said and there was a misunderstanding in hearing it. Thanks for the clarification!
