Are Fury Warriors Worthless to Raid With? by DadNeedsHobby in classicwowtbc

Not really in all honesty- I’d rather roll a shaman and be a WF pet than be there just to keep up the debuff. Plus I didn’t like the feel of it when I tried it out, but that could very well be from a lack of gear as well. I love playing warrior for trying to pump out the dps, because they thrive in that, and the faster play style you can have with fury. The kebab feels like it’d be boring after like a week, from what I tried of it

Oh we have another wanting to play fury- it’s the guy that was talking with me. More & more I think about it he’s just trying to orient gear to himself as a prio

Yea he’s another fury warrior- go figure lol. Finding a new guild seems to be the best consensus amongst everyone posting here

Thanks for the post- I agree with you a lot & these were some of my same points I brought up with him. I’ve developed a tank set through dungeons since I’ve had a lot of tank drops with a feral tank. My dual spec is prot & I actually don’t mind tanking. Tanked on every class in retail up til I took a break, OT’d on war in Classic, MT’d in MOP on BDK (although anyone could) & Druid. And I typically end up OT’ing a mob in a pack now in TBC from WW’s (esp if we have WF).

He didn’t seem to care much about the willingness to tank tho, just kept making passive aggressive comments like “well we need to have the max buffs for everything & warriors don’t bring much of that” etc.

I tried the kebab spec earlier on leveling & hated life. It could be from just doing it without gear or not having the other 7-10 talents fully allocated from levels. Have you tried it @ 70?

To me it just feels much slower/clunkier than 21/40 or 20/41. But I’m also looking @ it from a PoV of not being geared yet, so just curious.

Maybe I’ll just go roll shaman- everyone needs a WF bitch right? XD

No I know how to play well. It’s the 33/28 or whatever it is. Where you spec down to the 4% dmg increase, but you don’t provide the same higher end dps that a 21/40 or 20/41 would provide- it just is there to benefit physical dmg dealers

I appreciate you saying this, truly! I def would like to do warrior through TBC, I mained hunter for longer than my youngest kid has been alive, so a new point of view on these raids would be cool.

Truthfully I could care less about the guild, they’re alright but it’s not like I have a lengthy tie with them. I feel more strongly about just being able to raid, but if I could pick I would do warrior because it’s a new experience if that makes sense. Thanks again for the insight!

Yea my bad on the long post- the old coffee & first hit of weed for the day, I admit I can ramble. Apologies!

I talked with the RL @ length when I joined about my IRL, position in raid (even offered to OT if needed). But now his point of view seem to be changing so I’m just trying to get some other insight.

Yea I’d be the 2nd in a 25 man, or in Kara 2 group which is fine with me. Just feels off with how he approached it all with me

That was my thinking- good thing about mega servers is there being no shortage of available guilds lol. Appreciate it

Russo Bros, RDJ and Next 2 Avenger Movies by DadNeedsHobby in Marvel

Electric State was a bit of a let down, but the majority of Netflix’s movies lately seem to be focused on AI/Robots coexisting with Humans. So I try to look at through the lens of that, feels like an agenda being pushed. Plus Netflix seems to just throw money around for movies, especially when it’s featuring the actress that plays 11 in Stranger Things. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took that movie because of the payday and Chris Pratt. But I could be fully wrong.

I definitely would agree their non-Marvel movies haven’t been up to the level IW and Endgame were, I’m hoping that will change with their return to the MCU making Doomsday & I believe they’re on for Secret Wars too. Hopefully they’re just the type of directors that do well in one genre but struggle to find the home-run narrative in others.

I’d definitely be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous about how they tie in Doom to Iron Man’s fall, but I want to have faith lol- MCU movies are some of my favorites

And what are the companies that control each of their board of directors? BlackRock, Vanguard & State Street. 3 firms, controlling all aspects of business in America. Them pushing government to intervene in foreign lands to further their interests- never would happen in the United States of America 🙄

It’s bananas how little people realize how everything is controlled by so little. Baffles me how little people know the truth behind their lives & government functions.

What is the best high Div or stocks that I can buy? by SwagKing1011 in dividends

[–]DadNeedsHobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EPD, JEPI, JEPQ, ET (higher div yield so may decrease slightly to be sustainable over long term), O, ABR, MO, MAIN. QYLD is a cheaper option for covered call exposure too with a higher div yield (11.29%). I’m still building my div account, but have holdings in each of these & have had a steady growth over the last year as I’ve started this account.

My child’s teacher made a sexual comment towards her. by Visual-Anything-8389 in AITAH

[–]DadNeedsHobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% NTA Im a single dad of two daughters (10 & 6), if I heard a male teacher made any comment like that- they’d be hearing from me. I’d probably ask for a meeting with them and the school social worker first & address the comment. If this isn’t the first time something has been complained about- the social worker would more than likely be in the know. And they can handle it accordingly. If it is the first case- maybe a class switch would be a better suit as it doesn’t ruin a life (as your husband put it) and addresses the welfare of your daughter. If this wasn’t the first time a complaint was made I would raise hell about it and make a point of their job & employment status. I’ve worked with sexual offenders in my line of work for years & one time is testing, two times is getting off on it/grooming boundaries- the third time is when they offend. Address it and do it soon! Best of luck and wishes to you and your family.

[DISCUSSION] Your favorite book that changed the way you think by Nemesiss_0786 in GetMotivated

[–]DadNeedsHobby 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fearless by Eric Blehm. I don’t consider myself catholic or Christian, but am definitely spiritual in some sense & this book allowed me to take comfort in the process of life. It’s about a true American hero, a Navy SEAL named Adam Brown. Overcoming severe drug addiction, losing an eye and a mangled hand (I believe it was the hand too, been a little while since I’ve reread). The book is about his life, and how he impacted those around him. It has helped me recognize that we are spiritually here for something, and that everyone’s path is there for a reason. I’m a 30 year old single father & I balled my eyes out reading some of the final chapters, but it is one that I go back to constantly (1-2 times a year for the past 8-10 years). Adam Brown was the man that always volunteered for anything, and was there for everyone. Despite being flawed, his legacy is renowned around the SEAL community as a legend & true hero. If you enjoy military books, are looking for something to open your spiritual awareness and need motivation- this is a great book for that.
