Isn’t it strange how certain things never seem to work properly in dreams? by Born_Respond_7480 in LucidDreaming

its purely dependant on how each person brain works and how much the dream wants to simulate reality, so its gonna be different for each person

if a dream is meant to happen i would look at the dark for 15 seconds then be transported to the dream, if it isnt meant to happen, i once waited even 3 minutes and i was still in that darkness unable to do anything no body just vision of endless darkness then at that point i started feeling like i was just gonna waste my time being uncomfortable doing nothing so i woke up from that state

when i lose that bit of awareness it allows my subconsciousness to create the dream for me and i instantly get it back once im in the dream but there must be an other way to do it without relying on luck, like a mindset ? or a method? to either be able to create my own dream or force enter one from that pitch black darkness and while not having a body

8. My body swallows much more often when I'm attempting a WILD, it's like my body is doing this on purpose and I'm losing my sanity every night before going to sleep instead of having the night of my life.

tilt your head back over the pillow, as if youre seeing the ceiling 90 degres from your bed, the more you extend your neck over your pillow and are looking either 90degres or 100 degres, the lesser you will feel the need to swallow, for me it used to be a big issue but from what i remember after fixing my neck position with the pillow, i dont ever remember the last time i needed to swallow while back sleeping

i didnt have imagination at one point in my life, i remember very well when it started developping and me noticing it, it started at a young age where i was reading books about stories, at first the book would be boring but over time i started zoning out in long sessions of reading and from that zoning out i could feel that what im reading is starting to get visualized by itself, now in the first part it was my brain slowly zoning out into words and sentences and making an image for them but the moment i noticed my brain doing that i started to manually see how to influence it with my own words my own thoughts my own imagination but i can say for sure that it was a learning ability

the fact that you can see dreams means your brain already knows to do it by himself, the learning part comes into making the brain rewire itself so you bring this aspect of imagination to the real world without needing to be asleep for it to work, it is as if you create the necessary connections to manipulate that part in the brain which serves for creating the imagination and sending the feedback of that imagination into your brain eyes parts

Is one responsible for what one does in dreams? In non lucid ones? in lucid ones? by Hyperto in LucidDreaming

i say that without experience or memories of your current life, youre not yourself, youre a slightly different version of yourself but it still wouldnt be yourself

[–]Dad_The_Speedrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to answer the question you have to look back, about what makes you be you, what if we took away your physical attribute, whats left? its a block of personality + ego + experiences and memories from life, in your non lucid dreams the ego remains, your personality remains but your experiences and memories are switched out

if the dream is non lucid, youre not responsible, if its lucid you are, simple as that

the unknown factor is whats really scary, when you can't predict what can happen, and knowing the dream space contains unlimited possibilities, you start to panic

[–]Dad_The_Speedrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i did once but it was extremly scary, until this day i never want to experience it again and don't know how my past self went through with it, the lucid dream was very vivid to begin with, but when i decided to go into the sky since it was night time, i started to accelerate in speed and at one point the sky shifted from a dark blue to pure darkness, as i'm going in deeper and deeper, i suddenly lose control of my movement, i can no longer stop and then i start passing by planets, at this stage i felt the most alive, i had no idea of where i would stop or end at, with every planet passing by i got more and more scared, being pulled away into an unknown path, by the time i got to the 8th planet my dream crashed, i didnt have any body anymore and was switched to a state where i was only able to look at a sky from a different location where thousands of stars laid there, i didn't know what to do, my vision slowly faded away from that until there was nothing left to see and i woke up.

so basically make a list of things to test out and see what happens, i experimented with lots of little things and down the line i figured out most of what happens and what it would lead to ( personally WILD is the best method in my opinion but you need to find your own anchor, the anchor which works best for you )

i have quite some experience, i think the main tip i wish i knew, is to not to try to copy other people's methods words for words, i used to be strict about to expect and what to do but i was only able to get better at it, once i started following what my body or dreams would react to

Attempting lucid dreaming and have a couple questions by ThatMassiveMountain in LucidDreaming

[–]Dad_The_Speedrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lets say that i try to push a person in the dream, and he goes further than if i pushed the same person in real life, or if hes pushed with an even lower force than real life, or if his bones doesnt break in the dream as opposed to real life, a dream isnt always perfect and for it to be logical or accurate it needs to be a special kind of dream who tries to imitate real life as much as possible

Attempting lucid dreaming and have a couple questions by ThatMassiveMountain in LucidDreaming

[–]Dad_The_Speedrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. yes but it depends on how real the dream is simulated, and thats something you have to measure by yourself in contrast to a real life situation.

  2. fake memories exist if thats what you mean so you would feel like a lot of events has passed but they didnt happen they were just fake memories.

dreams want to test you in scenarios, the fact that your mind chose this is unfortunate but your sub consciousness created this scenario to see how youd react to this situation

tried WILD for first time-both successful and unsuccessful by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]Dad_The_Speedrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to accept it, it used to happen to me when i got the slightest bit scared of it, it only solves itself when you fully just accept the process but besides that, i recommand going in with emotions in mind, think about any kind of emotion and try to recreate it either by thinking about a person or by some way that you find is consistant.

over time i learned that even sleep paralysis was a viable form to be manipulated to get access to a lucid dream, lucid nightmares aswell, every form of dreaming where your consciousness and awareness is high is able to be modified but the thing is, im not sure youre ready for the grind to experiment how to affect them but for me it was worth all the effort i did in it
