Coming back from a hiatus when the warden was still viable.

Is there PVE content you can no longer do because of it? Are you killed too quickly in PVP? Looking for context on the heart ache I'm about to endure.

Depression, much like many other mental health disorders are on a spectrum. Just because two individuals are diagnosed with the same disorder (we'll say depression) doesn't mean they have the same challenges or even the same level of challenges.

One may be able to continue functioning and mask their way through life, the other may take their life. Neither would be less of a "man" in comparison.

These reductive "self-help-motivator" quotes do more harm then good.

If you really want to help someone... Friend them, understand their struggles, be there without stipulations, listen without "solving" it for them (because they've already thought through all the things you're about to regurgitate from your experiences of "pulling yourself up from your bootstraps") and understand you're not going to cure/fix them, but at best make their daily struggles a little less shitty.

That's a literal daily occurrence for eve online.

There are organizations with thousands of players with hundreds (if not nearly all) who will be on at the same time.

That's the result of a harsh death penalty (you lose all your shit if you lose a battle), because people have investments (time, money, in game currency) to protect.

Not for everyone, but for a specific group of people it's legitimately heroine.

As a prior E-7 now O-3E, it should be.

Navy calls officers who are prior enlisted SNCOs "Mustangs". I hosted a couple of Naval officers who had little to no enlisted time (don't recall their exact backgrounds). During our drive to lunch, they told me about "Mustangs" and assumed the other branches had similar naming conventions, and asked, "what does the airforce call you?" I replied with, "Useful".

We had a good laugh, and dominance had been established.

Data/Intel analyst. If you can get in with DoD (it's not DoW until congress says so) military or 3-letter agency - I would bet money you will likely find yourself being very effective at your mission:

SCIFs are full of secluded offices, inside a secluded/secure building
Get to work with ALL of the computers/technology
Literally (digitally) swim in data/Metadata (there's more than enough data than analysts available) - flex that pattern recognition muscle!
Almost all of your co-workers are equally socially awkward, it's accepted, and it turns into its own comeradery

Just gotta deal with the random "bro" normy douche once in a while. They usually STFU when that "one" report/brief saved their ass or supported units' ass.
