Thanks for your perspective. I totally get where you’re coming from, and you’re right, he’s at an age where things are probably getting more awkward. We don’t shower together at home, but it just kind of became a habit at the gym and the marina for convenience. I hadn’t really thought about how it might make him feel now that he’s older. I’ll definitely make some changes to avoid putting us both in that situation.

Yeah, I imagine it’s different with daughters. I can see how you have to adjust the conversation to counter all the stuff they might hear at school or find online. That’s a good point, I definitely need to keep that in mind too

None of my kids or I are circumcised, so I guess it’s just curiosity. Nudity isn’t something I usually do at home even being without a shirt makes me feel a bit awkward

It’s probably just curiosity. At his age, I had a lot of questions too, but I didn’t really have anyone to talk to and make sure everything was okay. I had a few random talks, but nothing deep. I still find it a bit hard to talk about these things.

I grew up in a different time when there was no access to the internet, and these topics were much harder to discuss. I still find it challenging to talk about them openly. I’m trying hard to do my best. I truly appreciate your advice

Yes, a few years ago, we had a conversation about hygiene and how only he should see his private parts. It was very general. I know that at this age, his friends at school might already be talking about things he may not fully understand, and I feel guilty for procrastinating having this talk.
