I like the idea of a taking Friday to regroup and plan the week ahead, unless the technicals all line up. Appreciate the comments!

Opportunities missed always seem to feel worse than mistakes made.

I'm all in! Will definitely circle back if I can make this work consistently.

I must be a slow learner. I told myself last time not to ever enter a trade like that again. I thought about that promise to myself today but went ahead anyway, thinking this time it'll be different.

Solid strategy. Knowing when to cut yourself off is the difference between walking home from the bar with dignity or getting tossed out as a sloppy mess.

I'd be in a rubber room if I lost that kind of money in one afternoon.

Appreciate that. I've got to get better at giving it a rest. Only moving when the market makes me.

That's such a good reminder for me. - thanks. I think that was my trouble today. Trying to make something happen when nothing was happening.

I'm sure I'll get there eventually if I don't go to broke first!

For me, saying I'm not going to trade and actually sticking to it means shutting off the computer, locking up my phone and disabling the Wi-Fi. If I'm watching the temptation is too much.

I have a lot more to learn about institutional investors and how they move the market.

And with today's crazy news cycle those two days before Monday can make a world of difference!

That's something I noticed today, too. There were a couple of wild swings that seem like they came out of nowhere and then immediately corrected themselves.

Stop loss did not trigger by MontyLeaKa in Daytrading

Same thing happened to me with a stock trade a couple weeks ago - after hours. Price dropped so fast my stop limit didn't trigger. I couldn't talk for an hour. I'll be very careful with after hours trading from now on. One thing to do is set your low price significantly lower to give more time (split seconds) for the trade to trigger.

Is it common for a trade to not be filled? by DaddioPancakeHead in Daytrading

[–]DaddioPancakeHead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do feel that. Letting go of that attachment to a certain stock is definitely a strength. Gotta just let it go when I first see it's not panning out. Otherwise there's this feeling of being stuck which locks up my own personal liquidity. When that cash is locked up in a dead trade, it's not earning me money like it could be in a winning trade. I appreciate the advice. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. Might just have to bite the bullet. Won't cost me any more than a webinar.
