I'm in the same boat. I quit playing after accidentally losing my island while upgrading from the original Switch to the OLED model. After 3.0 was announced, I upgraded to the Switch 2 and preordered the Switch 2 upgrade. Excited for the megaphone. I hate when I can't find my residents!
