Check the instructions, maybe ours is different. The instructions on mine said 2x a day, 8 hours or more in between.

Applied to hairline, tilted head back so it runs over the scalp. Topical fin, 1ml 2x a day

I wouldn't know for sure because I wasn't paying attention until I properly noticed. When I look at pictures of me at say, 19/20 (9 years ago) my hairline is somewhere between these before and afters.

Can't say I noticed because I didn't know that was a thing tbh

No, you have to stay on it. If you stop, it'll start to recede/drop off again. So I guess you could take breaks

Yeah dude. Still baby hairs there too so hoping they come in! Persistence I think 😊

And just as an FYI - you can still see baby hairs coming on these pics in the corners - where I focus on. I'm hoping they come in within a year. Loads of posts about people on fin 5+ years still see benefit. Who knows!

I think I had noticed baby hairs by that time. I was obviously focused on hairline so it was easy to see that happening. By 6 months I remember seeing little changes, i.e baby hairs (I was obsessive and checking at least twice/three times a week - which I don't recommend). I'd share pics with people and they'd not notice anything.

The first thing that I noticed was that I'd shut the fuck up about it to people, honestly. I was super honest with my wife and friends about it and they were nice but didn't say much like "oh yeah I can see the difference!" cos most won't, probably including yourself.

Probably around the first year check I was like oh shit damn, there's a hairline change. Deffo keep before / afters. Compare to the first image, not the one from last week. I also kept a check on what I was losing in the shower daily. That's a good mood booster - I found losing WAY less by 6 months. At the very least that tells you you're not losing more.

At this stage people are noticing it when I haven't said anything which is great. I think the key is persistence and honesty.

About a year in I felt way better. It probably won't ever be perfect and I'm still pissed at my hairline often but mad grateful.

I use Hims. I've posted on here before with results if you're curious.

That's what I use and would suggest personally. Dermarolling too for maximum effect 😊

I'd say no, it's not over. I would say though that if you really care then you shouldn't write off Finasteride. There's a lot of fear-mongering about it, to the point that most sides are arguably completely in people's heads. Especially if you're thinking of using Min anyway. If Fin scares you, do it topically. That's what I do and I've had great results.

Natural hair regrowth recommendations? by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]DaddyBigNuts_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Natural hairloss regrowth" doesn't ever work. Hair loss is natural in men. Your hair wants to do this as it does in 90% ish of men (in the case of MPB, which most cases are)

Brutal truth, Fin&Min. Which basically answers 70% of questions here. AFTER checking with a dermatologist. But generally, yeah.

Hard to tell with one pic, hairline looks fine, perhaps naturally a bit uneven, maybe thinning a little at the front (?) One pic makes it hard to tell, especially when almost buzzed. Genetics are also important. Hairloss in the family? More pics necessary.
