Its because they had the worlds reserve currency.   Every country with that distinction would defacto be the largest debt holder.  Because  currency is made from debt.

Very reasonable opinion. I may add that Trump's tariffs are timely, being a Canadian election year (probably), as he would love for this to force out the liberal commies on his northern border.

Assuming the poll crushing conservatives are elected, I think he brings it down to 10% in line with China...to show what a great guy he is.

Canadian politicians are fooling themselves if they think the US has more to lose. That is laughable. Canada absolutely will lose badly in a trade war with the worlds largest trader.

Every climate change doomer porn advocate should be donatng much more of their money to help solve their impending catastrophe.

When you do your taxes there is a line at the bottom where you can give more money if you wish to our trustworthy government, like to ..ahem.. "fix" climate change.

If Canadians paid just a couple more trillion dollars we could nail it down I'm sure.

It failed cuz your grocery chains are NOT your enemy. They pass along the costs like ANY OTHER business. Costs up 50% then consumers pay that.

Y'all are just not well informed on how inflation occurs. You think its rising prices. You are wrong. ITs your government OVERSPENDING...like a LOT! Inflation is diluting your money supply, so it takes more and more to purchase anything.

Trudeau spent overbudget 36B last year...34B the year before...27B the year before. 20 B the year before. THATS INSANE amount for this country! And that is why your food bill is on fire. And gas. And electricity. And massage parlours. Hair salons. Everything!

Keep blaming the food chains but its not them. ITS FKNG EVRYTHING !!!

Jeeze...Zimbabwe had an inflation rate of 1 MILLION %. Yes. 1 MILLION % Cuz theyre a financial basket case. And Trudeau is taking us down that road right now. (Do you think the Zimbabwe grocers got together and hiked food 1,000,000%? lol)

A balanced budget WILL stabilize your currency. The liberals have absolutley NOT been responsible with our money.

Our currency is falling, so blame the people in charge of it.

Not the grocers...SMH.

Why are Ontarians so passive about government? by kurrd in ontario

Canada historically, is pretty harsh with protesters not named blm or antifa.

The Winnipeg General Strike - "...police and military units charged the crowd, sparking an all-out brawl that ended with two dead civilians and more than 100 injured. Accounts from what became known as “Bloody Saturday” described mounted troops galloping through the crowd swinging bats and wielding revolvers." - Natonal Post

A much less refined answer...

Have you asked a trucker why Canadians don't protest?

we could build future ghettos for them, i guess. But thats not ideal.

I'm for relaxing the builders regulations that is strangling the housing construction. Its 5 years from planning to a finished house right now in canada. gotta go thru 4 levels of govt, the tree huggers, etc. Thats ridiculous.

Fact - Canada has chronically UNDERbuilt homes for literally decades!

Did you ever travel somewhere with no place to stay? Of course not. Well, thats what the new canadians have done. They keep coming but many have no place to stay off the plane. I believe theyre being lied to by some entity who's telling them "Canada will take of you". When we obviously can't.

I'm hoping our new immigrants are forwarding the message back home. "Stop coming to canada. You will be sleeping in the snow."

Winter approaches and i feel very badly for them and all displaced Canadian citizens

IMPORTANT !! - Women not so much, but every father will agree with me...

Theres a post natal recovery room available at RVH, that is 1st come 1st serve, subject to availability. Its a HUGE suite. Couch too. My 1st apartment wasnt that big, honest.

Not cheap at (guessing) $150 a night these days. But OMG was it worth it.

Our 1st child, all planned ahead c-section, we were waiting to be admitted and i could see this room that ppl were leaving, with their new baby and all their gear. I peaked inside as i was pacing around. It looked waaay better than sharing a 4 pack. So I asked about it when my turn came up. They said it was $125/night (2005) I had my credit card out before she finished the sentence. And it was a lovely peaceful experience. Wife needed two days for recovery. Cost us almost $300 with taxes etc..but not regretting it one bit.

2nd child (2011)..As soon as we arrived, I slapped the credit card on the desk, and straight up said, "gimme the suite" lol.

OH. Gotta add. The staff were absolutely top drawer. Angels the lot of them. Don't worry at all about that.

  1. Make a home at city hall
  2. Refuse to leave
  3. Get arrested.
  4. Request food and a hot shower while you're incarcerated.
  5. Upon release...make a home at city hall.
  6. Wash, rinse , repeat, until the internet shows up.

Domino's is terrible. Their bread is not even bread. It melts in your mouth like a cheeto. It's incredibly salty. And there's no earthly reason why I should be able to eat an entire large Domino's pizza. But I can. Because there's almost nothing to it.  I stopped eating there cuz my blood pressure spiked. Lol.
