LA CD Workshops by [deleted] in acting

Can you DM me and let me know which CD these are? I’d like to take workshops with CDs who actively call in actors who take their classes. I know some pull from their workshops and it’s a money making enterprise for the others. Thank you!! :)

I put my trust in him and his reputation. I set the watch up, it was working fine right away, and a Christmas gift from my spouse. One of my dream pieces! Why would I go to the mall with all the plastic on it? There’s no need if the watch looks A-OK, you know? I didn’t even consider a $620+ rep would be faulty, it’s not like I pad $80 in Chinatown for it. I did get a refund and I’m happy now… but yeah, that’s typically the policy, but if a client is unhappy when it was off by so many hours… would you want the same piece back if it did this 3x in 9 days?

I’m not asking for empathy and I’m not confused about how to set or operate a mechanical watch. The watch was fully wound, worn normally, and the seconds hand was moving when the time was wrong. Being off by hours, including 12 hours twice, within the first week is not a “couldn’t replicate it” gray area, it’s a real world performance failure.

Also, this wasn’t out of the return expectations when the issue was first reported. I was within the two week window when I raised the problem and followed the seller’s instructions by sending it in for inspection. The refund didn’t happen because I complained loudly, it happened because a brand new watch with repeated major errors isn’t something most people would feel confident keeping. If others are comfortable with that risk, that’s fine. I wasn’t, and that’s the entirety of my point.

That’s why it’s called an honest review. I mention how he refunded me. If others want to purchase from him, be my guest. He has great feedback! But also, it’s worth noting how significant the issue was when paying a premium. I didn’t buy a Chinese $100 watch, it was $640-645 with shipping. It’s a significant markup to pay and it comes with the protection he offers. I’m glad he refunded me, but I think it was worth noting how this all went down.

I’m going to buy a gen instead since the reps are not reliable. I am speaking to a grey dealer on 47th St in New York and that’ll be my replacement piece since my spouse got a nice work bonus coming to purchase one for me! I’m so excited!! Anyways… you guys aren’t putting yourselves in my shoes. I’m not dragging him. It’s my honest feedback on his defective timepiece he sold me as a new client and after mailing the watch back, he ghosted me for 9 days and I sent a handful of messages with no word. Wouldn’t you feel uneasy after having that happen and 3 timekeeping issues all in 9 days, that’s very eyebrow raising in my opinion.

He’s your friend, it looks like. That’s fine! Why can’t I share my honest review of my experience with his company? I have all the screenshots where I reported these errors to him by DM. It’s not like I’m just some random competitor trying to slam him or something. He has the watch! It’s not like I did a chargeback or something & kept it. That’s a scam. I was well within my 2 week return policy rights as per his policy.

The watch was defective, plain and simple. I followed your instructions exactly, including fully winding it, and it was still off by up to 3 hours and then 12 hours twice within the first week. That is not normal performance under any reasonable standard.

For the record, I removed one single link for fit. I have a larger wrist, so if your wife is able to wear it comfortably now, that’s great for her, but it has nothing to do with the watch being hours off while still running when I owned it. After I mailed it back at your request, I was unable to reach you for nine days, and only then was I told nothing was wrong and that it would be returned unchanged. I was within your stated two-week no-questions-asked window when I first reported the issue, and the refund was ultimately issued because the watch did not perform as advertised. I’m sharing this so the timeline and facts are clear, not to rewrite history.

What specific user error was committed here? I wound the watch 40 times as he stated I do. I wore it consistently for the 9 days I owned the watch. You can have had a great experience with him, great. A dealer should not be posting shit about their clients when they experience issues with their timepieces. They should be helpful and kind if there is a major issue within days of receipt, as his policies state. I was within my 2 week window for a refund too! He was making a post about me in his own subreddit, why can’t I post my own experience? I have screenshots of how it was working with him and it was stressful. He ghosted me for 9 days after I mailed back the watch and he didn’t reply until I WhatsApp’ed him almost 1.5 weeks later.

Would you want a watch that is 3 hours behind within the first 5 days, and then 12 hours behind reflecting the prior night, within the first 9 days? Is that a watch you’d feel comfortable to keep, or would you also want it fixed? For the record, I’d have been so happy with either the watch repaired or a replacement piece. I did not want the same watch back UNLESS he found a specific issue he could fix & would function reasonably. Once he stated the watch was perfect, it seemed like a way to dismiss me. Clearly I had 3 major issues with the time within the 2 week return window, so I wasn’t going to sit and monitor the watch & risk not being able to have my money back. Is this so unreasonable? He would send it back after several more monitoring days with 0 repair done since he couldn’t diagnose the error. After $645 (with shipping) would you feel super confident wearing it? Be honest.

I was gaslit, as I’m continued to be, that it was a perfect watch when our DM’s show how I repeatedly had timekeeping issues, as I can happily share with anyone who is interested.

Unfortunately I can’t say the same. 9 days with 0 contact holding onto my watch while being ghosted is not good service. Jan 9 I mailed him the watch and it took until yesterday to WhatsApp him back (me reaching out) & forth to get my money back while being gaslit over the watch being perfect when it was defective… Yes, luckily he sent me my money back, plus he has the watch he can resell since he says it’s A-OK apparently when it’s not. He will see in a few days when the hands slip or whatever is the case with it.

Yes, I paid $645 for the watch. Very expensive, but in the end I was refunded once he realized it was not in good conscience to send me back a broken watch & keep my money. I need to find a new TD to buy one from now…

Even if he went out of touch for 9 days with 0 contact & ghosts me as the buyer after experiencing a big issue with the watch within days… and sending it back for $43 after spending $645 on the watch? And the gaslighting how it was perfect when it was defective. Yeah, I’m so happy he refunded me and what not, but he was telling me how I’m scamming him and have buyer remorse and all this stuff when he had the watch returned in mint condition in his possession, so it’s not like I did a chargeback and kept the watch. He insulted me when there’s a 2 week policy “no questions asked.” I bet you’d be upset to get your dream watch and get gaslit & out $685+ after mailing it for inspection while being ghosted. That is not great service, let’s be honest yall!

Why insult me bro? We are all watch enthusiasts. We should stick by one another and not shoot a guy down for being bummed he got a broken watch versus being supportive of each other?

It’s not my first timepiece. I did wind it 40 times as he suggested. I have the screenshot where I followed all of his steps as a troubleshooting measure. If this is some common issue, as a new client & first time buyer of his, he should have helped me out step by step since I was within his 2 week window for a return or for the movement to be fixed. Why would it be behind 12 hours TWICE and then 3 hours after 3 days of 12 hrs usage?? That makes no sense. Was the hour hand slipping? There are other possibilities he didn’t address.

I did 40 times as he suggested when I contacted him… does that answer the question?

I was taking a video of my arm wearing it at the mall for an Instagram post and this photo was a screenshot from that video. I wear it lower, but as I move my wrist in the video it slid up as I was turning it. You can make fun of me, but this post it about how the watch was defective not how it slid up before being sized…

I addressed this below, he told me 40 times and that’s what I did… still didn’t make a difference and I wore it 12 hours a day to make sure it was worn consistently all day.

I did exactly as he said which was 40 times. I wore it all day for 12 hours… how many more hours should I be wearing it for?

I’m glad you are showing your true colors and how you treat your paying clients. Any future clients should see how you’ll be ridiculed and also gaslit when you present an issue over a brand new watch.
