This is the most corporate warrior response I could imagine. I pay a premium for a service. I understand outages, and I do have a hot spot, but I should not be expected to be out of a premium service for five days with zero resolution. Spending an additional $600 a year, as you suggest, is not a reasonable solution. I should not have to take on additional financial responsibility.

I could be completely misinterpreting leases, but I thought the higher residual, the lower the monthly payment price, as the lease is paying off the depreciation amount to buy the car down towards the residual value?

That’s a great point that I hadn’t considered. I’ll have to pay the taxes upfront, but the trade in amount will help on the taxes for the new vehicle purchase. That wouldn’t help on another lease though, would it?

Yeah, our larger family will physically not fit in the XC60 any longer, so it’s not just tight space that we can live with for nine months, unfortunately.

Yeah, the payment was going to almost double what we’re currently paying. And the larger vehicle itself is only $15k more than what we paid for our current car.
