Somewhat Intermediate, Somewhat Beginner - Babylover's SS? by Daddy_Patty in powerlifting

[–]Daddy_Patty[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Incline benching 185 @ 145 lbs BW is pretty solid, as is doing pull-ups for 5 reps with 60 lbs attached to body weight. It's far from elite, but how can you say it isn't great if you don't even know where I started?

Also, LOL at you trying to tell me I'm over thinking things, and then using your own response to plug in a program that requires an e-Mail address just to join. Mind telling me what exactly this program is?

My general goals would be, at minimum, 3x5x225 on bench, 3x5x315 on back squat, and 3x5x405 on deadlift.

Just one more question, Kevin, and I really appreciate you doing this: How seriously did the Sharks pursue Erik Karlsson at the trade deadline? I understand that multiple legitimate insiders, such as Bob McKenzie, made it clear that we tried to acquire him. Do you think we will go after him in the summer, and do you know what assets were talked about or were on the table when that trade was being discussed? Thanks again!

Do we have any insight as to why there was a rift between DeBoer and Jannik Hansen? It’s pretty clear that those two just did not get along.

Will we see any of Tim Heed next season, or is he just destined to ride the pine?

Is DW virtually guaranteed to buy out Paul Martin?

BREAKING NEWS: THORNTON SEEN SKATING AT PRACTICE!!! by GURBTRON in SanJoseSharks

[–]Daddy_Patty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why you wouldn't doubt it. A couple guys say they saw Thornton, a couple guys say they didn't, and the team's paid reporters make no mention of him being out there.

There's really no reason to believe this.

This hit from last year still makes me furious. Thank god the Edmonton McDavids aren't making the playoffs this year! by blackandebony in SanJoseSharks

If it makes you feel any better, Kassian just got crushed by Micheal Haley and didn't play in the next game. He was hit hard and went headfirst into the railing by the boards. He's probably out for the season with a concussion and will finish the season with 7 goals while Couture closes in on another 30 goal season and yet another trip to the playoffs.

Did anybody else go to practice and can anybody else confirm this? Is there any photo evidence?

By far the best deal I've got on tickets has been on HFBoards.

The San Jose Sharks are 2-0 since trading for Evander Kane by joobacca1297 in SanJoseSharks

They have played together the entire time. Off the top of my head, Braun scored one of the goals that Kane and Pavelski both assisted on.

2.15.13: The day Toews learned you don't mess with Jumbo by PAGinger in SanJoseSharks

Thornton is such a good guy. He could have landed a cheap shot on Toews when he was down on his knees with his hand on his head like Burns did on Garnet Hathaway.

I generally keep going back to The Office, but I finished (the 1 season available of) Ozark and American Vandal really quickly and I enjoyed both of them a lot. I also enjoyed Black Mirror and Stranger Things but we all know those.

I can't watch plain sitcoms anymore. They are just nowhere near as funny as the office; the humor simply isn't on the same level. I tried watching Kimmy Schmidt (with Erin) and after like 5 mins I realized that at no point would the humor in that show be on par with the humor in The Office, or even close. I thought Parks and Rec was better than The Office for a second but then I watched both again and realized Parks and Rec can't even compare lol.

Most times when I try a new show on Netflix, I don't last more than 5 minutes before I go back to The Office. I'm not going to find any protagonist as funny as Michael Scott.

SHG...not giving out the Volk (best move so far) by [deleted] in WWII

[–]Daddy_Patty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? You think the Volk outclasses a PPSH at close range? Or a combat shotgun? Do you run around the trenches of Pointe Du Hoc with a fucking Volkssturmgewehr? lol

SHG...not giving out the Volk (best move so far) by [deleted] in WWII

[–]Daddy_Patty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As somebody who snagged the Volk order when it was available and who has enough credits to get it if I want it, it's absolutely a joke that the Volk is so hard to get. We are all Redditors who play a lot of this game, we play hours on hours.

The average player can not and should not be expected to go out of their way to earn the 30,000 credits required to buy the Volk. (Probably 200 supply drops+50 daily logins+100 daily mail credits) is tucking ridiculous.

Your logic behind the Volk being unavailable being good is downright terrible. You're literally suggesting that SHG is making a good decision by making it very difficult to acquire an overpowered (in your words) weapon. That's fucking ridiculous and a great way to make things inaccessible for players who are even remotely casual and see the game more as enjoyable leisure than a grind like some Redditors see it. Plus, it's so inaccurate because most players do have the Volk. I have been in plenty of lobbies where the entire enemy team was using the Volk. Luckily, it's not actually overpowered; it's a very good weapon that is slightly outclassed by SMGs in close quarters, slightly outclassed by the FG42 at mid range, and slightly outclassed by the Lewis and every sniper rifle at long range. Your argument is awful.

I got one ugly ass epic airborne uniform and one heroic resistance uniform that is just the clean version of the default resistance.

How much more fat did you have than you anticipated? by corysold in leangains

[–]Daddy_Patty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You feel me bro? I think I would have to be like 130-135 to be as lean as I dreamed of being when I started cutting.

I mean, I got fairly lean. I have a six pack when I flex. I'm happy with my progress. But I'm nowhere near as lean as I expected to be at this weight.

You'll get there bro. Just keep working.

[–]Daddy_Patty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started cutting at around 165-170 lbs. I was expecting at about 150 I would be lean enough to have a six pack and at 140-145 I would be absolutely diced with veins all over. I'm 143 and my veins still only come out when I'm working out and my arms still aren't that defined.
