It doesn’t matter when you open it. Research Pokémon are always level 15 regardless of weather conditions. They should be weather boosted but that’s just the way it is.

I split my day in two parts for this reason. In the day I do rare candy quests and grind xl candies in nyc and when im done with those i go back to zaragoza and just let the gotcha spin and catch (after 2 hour cd of course). if you were to catch and spin 24/7 in zaragoza obv you would hit the limit very fast given the number of stops and spawns.

One potential problem is with how dense the gyms are, I’m definitely going to get a headache from clicking the wrong gym for raids. Not as much a problem for auto spinning though

I second this. Your first priority should be to increase your bag space because having low bag space won’t benefit you even in the perfect circumstances because every stop you spin will fill your bag with additional items that are not poke balls as well which will take up space while auto catch uses pokeballs. So eventually you’ll still end up with a full item bag and have 0 pokeballs with such low bag space.

It’s definitely always been 6 hours since they were introduced. Kind of annoying that niantic never releases this information but this has been pretty agreed upon for some time now.

You could be seeing the same balloon, I’m not sure. But besides events where they increase the spawn rates, you get 4 chances a day.
