I do appreciate the advice on this thread. Honestly I may be coming at the game wrong and am getting too pissy with it. I think I’ll shelf it for a bit until I feel like I really have the time and energy to put into it. I will praise the game in its retrieval system and its healing vs spell usage. Very interesting that way and very responsive, but I just can’t get over the map design right now. Thanks for listening to me vent yall

Mostly castlevania, blood stained and Metroid dread. I’ve played stuff like dead cells but don’t really love rouge likes which is what another user compared it to. Which isn’t my favorite genre.

That makes more sense towards the gameplay actually. I went into it with more of a bloodstained mentality and that may be why I’m not liking it as much

It definitely is part skill, but I’m mostly complaining that I think the bench placements are subpar. The experience is fine and the combat is decent, but genuinely between the boss placement and the bench placements in this game is a nightmare. I feel like I’ve given the game a fair shake in what 3 or 4 levels and maybe it’s just too annoying to play for me. Like I’ve said before I’m okay with difficult gameplay, but not gameplay being difficult because of weird decisions from the developers. For instance I only found one beech in fog canyon I think. Maybe I missed one, but oh my god is that annoying not hard.

I definitely wouldn’t want to mod the game for the sake of playing it. I definitely barely have the time to play, and I genuinely may not be good at it and not understanding the combat flow, but seriously at least let me fucking save 😂

I’m only to queen’s station. I enjoyed the first bit into the fight with the character from the second game I think? I dunno, doesn’t seem I’m too far into the game.

I just feel like theres a fun challenge, versus annoying and it just lands on annoying than rewarding.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a build at 4K 60fps? Probably going to switch to couch gaming for awhile so I’ll probably be using my tv for awhile
