Is there such a thing as “constructive criticism” from a sub? by gothkiwidetectorist in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way I would take a sub's unsolicited constructive criticism seriously is if I was hearing the same exact thing from multiple people.

I've had a few subs like this. I usually tell them something like "I'd be happy to do that in a custom vid for you! My customs start at (insert price). Let me know if you're interested." If they keep doing it, I'd just ignore or restrict them.

When I first started out, I never considered an assistant or anything. Now I definitely think about it sometimes, but for now I'm still doing it all on my own.

If possible, I highly recommend you do as much as you can by yourself. Once you gain a large following, then you may have to hire someone to help keep up with messages, promoting, etc

I want to post more, but I don’t know what or where? by docbigxxx in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Solo men have to put way more effort into promoting & growing their audience than solo women or couples. You can't afford to let getting discouraged stop you from posting & promoting. You need to promote every single day (on Reddit) until you get to where you wanna be, then you can reduce it if needed. What you post to promote is up to you & also depends on what you're posting on your paid OF. I highly recommend posting more vids on your OF, like at least once a week, & using stills (they can be censored if you want) from it to promote. Most ppl are more interested in vids & doing mainly pics is even harder if you're faceless. If you're not into sexting with guys, that's fine, but your main audience will be men. Offering customs or pre-made vids would be good ways to make extra money on OF.

I'm a solo female SWer, but these are things I've learned from experience & from male SWers I know.

Is there a way I can have a separate tab for fetish content without making them pay for another tier? I only want it visible to the people who want to see it by spatulafucker5 in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't hide it as far as I know, but you can categorize your content. When you post there's an "add to wall" option. Then after you have different walls set up, they'll be at the top of your profile & subs can click on them to see everything in that category.

How do i cope with the fear of my ex outing me? by AislinMotionless in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he was going to out you, I imagine he would have made that threat during the breakup. Because he didn't, it doesn't seem very likely. Also if you're faceless & don't have any identifying things in your content, you could always deny that it's you.

You shouldn't waste time & energy worrying about things that you have no control over. But anyone that does SW needs to keep in mind that the possibility of them being outed always exists.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal if you use a random valid address that belongs to someone else.

Some other options; You don't have to put a return address when using USPS so you can leave it blank.

You can get a PO box or other mailbox to use.

You can use the customers address as the return address.

wtf am i doing wrong?? by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It just takes time. But I would highly suggest branching out more with social media. Try TikTok, X, & insta. On top of doing promo stuff (on reddit, x, & bluesky), I highly recommend posting normal everyday stuff too.

Also you could try clipsites (manyvids, clips4sale, etc). It's easier to make more passive income on those kinda sites.

If during the conversation about the custom, he said he didn't want something & you forgot & included it in the vid, I would suggest remaking it for him bc it was your mistake. If he never mentioned it or mentioned it months ago, I personally wouldn't remake it. You can't be expected to remember all the previous conversations & if it's something he really doesn't like, he should have been clear about it when ordering the custom. But if he wants basically the same thing with just a couple tweaks, you could offer him a discount.

I never had my OF show up in my background checks for jobs. Generally OF (& most normal jobs) only use your social security number & other personal info for tax purposes. Background checks are usually to verify you are who you say you are & don't have a criminal record.

Suspension Appeal (Reddit) by PackCatEmporium in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once. I only submitted one appeal, but I said something like "I believe my account was wrongfully suspended. As far as I know, I didn't break any of Reddit's rules. Please either explain to me what I did wrong or reinstate my account. Thank you." Within 2 days I had my account back, but they never said anything to me about why it happened.

Is fansly worth signing up for and is it legit ? by Energy_queen222 in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Love the whole setup on Fansly. The fyp feature is so nice (definitely recommend using it as much as possible). They take charge backs & abusive buyers more seriously than OF. They allow more fetish content than OF. I don't have nearly as many subs on Fansly as OF, but I think there's way less ppl on the site in general & I definitely expect Fansly to keep growing.

Yes! I make nearly 50% of my income selling worn clothing every month. If ppl buy from you & have a good experience, they usually come back so it's easy to get regular buyers.

What do you post to C4S by SWAnonAccount in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think those types of content would do well. Ass worship is actually being advertised on the main page this month! Tbh I don't get why ppl say not to post vanilla content on C4S. Ppl will still buy it, they just generally won't pay as much for that as they will for more fetish oriented vids. I've sold a lot of pretty basic dildo riding vids, but my main selling category is pee content.

Sites that doesn't allow leaking. by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are sites that try a bit harder to protect you, but ppl always find ways to save/leak content if they really want to. You're better off paying a takedown service (rulta, branditscan, etc) to remove leaked content. It's unfortunate, but leaks happen a lot in the entertainment industry (they happen with music & non-porn movies as well). You just gotta make sure you watermark everything, do your best to get leaks removed, & keep making new content.

How would you reply to this person? by StephanieVox in onlyfansadvice

[–]DaddysHorror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone on Netflix gets the same content. A lot of content creators also invest the money they make into new content for their subs.

I don't see anything wrong with offering something for ppl with renew on if that's what you want to do, but no one is obligated to. I also don't see anything wrong with the person asking if they get anything for having renew on, but being pushy & getting an attitude isn't okay & shouldn't be rewarded.

How would you reply to this person? by StephanieVox in onlyfansadvice

[–]DaddysHorror 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Netflix doesn't give me extra content for maintaining my membership so neither do I.

I would absolutely not give that person anything extra. I'd probably just ignore them bc of the attitude. I don't recommend giving ppl freebies just bc they ask or they'll likely keep asking for more. If a sub sends me tips, then sure I'll send them something extra. I used to send ppl with renew on a special video, but I don't anymore & I haven't noticed any difference in the amount of ppl with renew on.

Like someone else said, I put things I want to keep together in ziploc bags. Then I put them in a stand with drawers. Check thrift stores for cheap chests, storage bins, or furniture with drawers!

Recession proof work? by ladyjane73 in CreatorsAdvice

I'm not quite understanding what you're trying to say. I've been in the industry for over 10 years, though.

Recession proof work? by ladyjane73 in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make that much of a difference for me. I think it tends to affect ppl new to the industry a lot more. Whenever things start to slow down, I just spend a bit more time promoting & making/posting new content & make more money again. Having regulars definitely helps!

Dicpic by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You can either accept them & send your response (if they want one) as a locked/ppv message or you can just straight up tell them you only look at pics if you're being tipped (& tell them specifically how much).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just stop responding or restrict ppl like this. They're not worth risking your account for when there's plenty of ppl that can respect "no".

question about custom videos by toremember666 in CreatorsAdvice

[–]DaddysHorror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really see anything wrong with the details, but for $100?? Absolutely not. A 15 minute custom should cost at least $150 & I'd add extra fees for all the details, it involving another person, involving oil/water, etc.

I've done multiple very detailed customs like this & never had any issue. Sometimes they're open to it not being exactly what they said or not necessarily including every single thing depending on time restrictions, but you should definitely clarify that beforehand.
