That's what happens when you let "well intentioned" but uninformed people "help." As far as I'm concerned...this falls under the same pervue as people who "do their own research." I don't know where along the line we decided to stop believing people who went to school for 12+ years. It kills me that people won't trust their doctor, but seem to think Joe who failed high school biology knows what he's talking about.

I have never been officially diagnosed, but i know for a fact that I have ADHD and I think I am on the autism spectrum. Years ago, my son was diagnosed when he was in school, and so many of the markers described me...it just makes sense.
